Hi all

I have dry skin, always have I apply cream when I wake up I have to apply cream and throughout day etc I use astral, it's thick and absorbs well, I also once a week use almond oil, I use a separate SPF but have to admit I haven't been using it religiously. Anyway I am quite lazy with skincare and as I'm now 33 I need to give it more thought, there is so much on the shelves I don't know where to start, my friend said about using hylaronic acid I am breastfeeding so not sure if I can. Anyway I feel like I need something more from my cream, anti aging stuff but I need something as thick as astral and that will leave my skin glowy, I don't like the Matt look and hate it when the cream absorbs and leaves my skin feeling tight haha, sorry if this doesn't make much sense I'm not great at explaining! I take multivitamins also and do drink water.

Thanks all

What’s your actual diet like (as opposed to taking vitamins)? I know you say you’ve always had dry skin - but the current demands on your metabolism must mean you need to pay extra attention to what you’re eating.

Sufficient good protein?
Huge quantities of fresh fruit and vegetables? (A weekly veg box helps if you’re not able to grow most of what you eat!)
Wholefoods?

Are you able to avoid processed and ready made / takeaway meals most of the time? Presumably you’re not drinking much alcohol at the moment? Are you actually eating regular meals in as calm an environment as possible?

I know it’s not a cream - but these factors make a huge difference to your skin, in the short and long term. (Combined with very gentle cleansing and avoiding harsh chemicals where possible. And sleep.)

I recently started using skin and me. So far I really like it. (I'm still on month one though.)
It's prescribed skincare, on a monthly subscription.
You send them a few photos, tell them your skin concerns and they send you a monthly subscription- a daily doser of the prescribed product.
The trial box is £3.50. Then it goes up to £30 a month if you decide to keep it.
I like it because it's very simple, you can continue using your own cleanser/ moisturiser if you want, they don't bombard you with products.
My trial box came with a free cleanser, moisturiser and spf- i think they change up the freebies here and there. But for £3.50 i definitely think it's worth trying.
There are referral codes everywhere on social media to get the £3.50 box. Mine is KERRYB7WBF if you want to use it.
There are mixed reviews out there, some good some bad. Check it out anyway and see if you think it might suit you!

Also.. I did see a 'skin expert,' on tv not so long ago, recommending plain old vaseline as a night time moisturiser. I bet that would help with dry skin!
