What is your dress like?

If it doesn't matter to you then absolutely wear them. It's your day, who cares what anyone else thinks!

MissingMyHeels · 23/02/2008 23:08

They are gorgeous!

pukkapatch · 23/02/2008 23:09

it depends on how they look with the dress.
will they be nmostly covered up? dsis spend very little on her wedding shoes. and she wears them a lot after as well. she reasoned that nobody, but nobody ever see's a brides shoes. so why waste a fortune?
personally i wouldnt get without a heel though

JingleyJen · 23/02/2008 23:10

OOOOh I love those shoes.
How long is your dress?

TillyScoutsmum · 23/02/2008 23:10

I don't think it matters if your dress is long... and its not like the colour is going to clash with ivory

of course you can
they look v comfy too

beautifuldays · 23/02/2008 23:12

they are so gorgeous aren't they? and the only pair of wedding shoes i have found that i actually like - might have to fib to dh a bit about the price tho...

the dress is pure ivory, it has got little bits of lace and beading on it which is why i thought they might be ok, it's just they're not ivory so wondering if they will look a bit odd iyswim. also you have to have them hand made to order so you can't send them back if you don't like them!!

I had my shoes made
verry comfy
also £35

check out the competition...

beautifuldays · 23/02/2008 23:16

mrsbadger - i know i wish they were £35...

i have scoured the net and every shop in the midlands and have found nothing i like apart from these. you see i don't like satin and i can't walk in high heels!

I think it was these people

DelGirl · 23/02/2008 23:21

If the matieral is suitable or you can get some to match, then you can have your shoes made. I had mine made from the same silk as my dress. I can't remember how much they were, but not that much, maybe £40??

DelGirl · 23/02/2008 23:22

and yes, they're lovely, the ones you've linked to I mean

InTheseShoes · 23/02/2008 23:43

I wore chocolate brown shoes with my (cream) wedding dress. They are lovely and I still (infrequently) wear them today. (Married 12 years next Sunday, they are suede Mary Janes with a block heel)

I would wear the shoes you like, and although the ones you linked are not my personal taste, they are very beautiful and you will be comfortable in them, as well as helping you feel fabulous on your special day.

Enjoy your day!
