Decent gel nails at home?

I suppose my first question is is this possible for someone with no nail experience at all to do? Second can you recommend a good starter kit, preferably one that won't break the bank?

I use Mylee. It's taken some practise but I love doing my own nails. Saves a fortune!!!

I’d massively urge caution about doing this. I’ve made myself allergic to gel nails through doing it at home, I think as I’ve accidentally got tiny amounts on my skin which is very bad

If you’re willing to take the risk then PM me and I’m happy to sell my lamp and stuff 😆

I tried this as I know people who successfully do it. I tried for weeks (sometimes having to do it again the next day as it peeled off etc) and butchered it each time. I've given up.

Yes! I use the mylee kit, it's great. Just remember don't get it on any skin around the nail as that's when it will lift, and the gel shrinks as it drys so get at close to the skin without touching, lighter colours will need more layers, I often do 3. Nail preparation is everything so push back cuticles and get a cuticle trimmer. Make sure you get an LED curing light, it's much less UV on your skin than the other( slightly cheaper) type, have fun!
