A suncream FOR THE LOVE OF GOD that is unsticky.

We are on holiday. We have sun creams from 3
different companies (standard wander into Boots, factor 50) that claim to be unsticky but that is a LIE a disgraceful, dishonest, outrageous lie.

Sand was stuck upon my décolletage and I had the heeby-jeebies all the live long day.

Urgh and the splayed toes xlevel-eleven.

is there a factor 50 sun cream that repels sand and that hideous tacky stickiness?

Its this or wear some sort of shroud on the beach.

A suncream FOR THE LOVE OF GOD that is unsticky.

this is great and non sticky - works for all of us including DS - 7 who has severe eczema. That said we also take a squirty bottle of water in case of sand/salt stinging on the beach etc to rinse off.

This is true this is the one I bought it randomly and it’s amazing

Sainsburys spray in the yellow bottle. I picked it up as it was all they had and now it is the one I buy. Excellent and really high uva/b ratings.

Another vote for ultrasun. Best, non-sticky suncream ever and doesn’t stain clothes.
Thought I’d try something a bit cheaper this year for mild school days and now after a week of use I need to replace all the school shirts. 😡

It’s the truth! It’s the holy grail of non-staining suncream.

My very close family member is currently dying from skin cancer. Just buy spf 50 and deal with it. It could save your life.

partypompoms · 29/06/2023 06:00

Aldi and Lidl do spray dry oil 50 and it's great. £3.50 ish

Malibu doesn’t seem to state the UVA/UVB star rating anywhere online or on their packaging which doesn’t fill me with confidence.

Beninthesortingoffice · 29/06/2023 06:52

Amber solaire spray factor 50. Kids sensitive advanced. The Sainsbury's own brand version seems the same.

MaggyNoodles · 29/06/2023 07:02

You need a lotion, not a cream.

Also, when are you applying it? If you're putting it on when you're at the beach, you're doomed. Apply at least an hour before you go out in the sun so it properly sinks in.

Yes. Garnier.

Don't use the Hawaiian Tropic dry oil in the dark brown bottle. It is very, very odd.

Soozikinzii · 29/06/2023 10:53

Cabana dry oil spray it's in different strengths.

Rituals and it smells gorgeous.

bonfirebash · 29/06/2023 15:28

I find any of the aerosol type sprays pretty good, and no rubbing it in with sand on your hands

I know this is not adding anything useful but I do love a pebble beach!

taytotayto111 · 29/06/2023 19:37

I've tried everything and for the face eucerin 50 oil control is the only non greasy sticky one

BG2015 · 29/06/2023 19:49

Asda clear spray £4 it's brilliant

SemiDetachedKittenAsylum · 29/06/2023 21:41

Panama Jack. The only one I’ve ever found that isn’t sticky.

Honeychickpea · 29/06/2023 21:49

Most creams are sticky, you need a spray instead.

I am making notes by the way. Thank you for the suggestions.

Do sprays work as well as creams? With a cream at least I can see how much I’ve used.

I'm a pale redhead that burns if I open the curtains
Decided to ride my horse on one of the hottest days of the year and we were out for 2-3hrs. Used a banana boat aerosol spray on my body and frezyderm on my face and didn't even have a pink patch
Even converted my dad to wearing SPF, he hates it but loves being able to spray his feet and the back of his neck without faff

MadEyeJudy · 30/06/2023 09:57

Just popping my head up to say 'Robin of Sherwood' was an amazing show ('nothings forgotten'❤️)!! Ambre solait Glow (pump/ spray bottle) one seems pretty good at not being sticky. For face I've splurged on some Supergoop & that feels like silicone primer so def not sticky (both 30s not 50 though)
