Everythng I see is either day-glo mega pink on pink or naff cartoons of fairy princesses. Doing my head in!
Windows are really big so need something decent, blackout lined would be ideal.
Would like something pretty/ vintage maybe.

Is this the impossible search?

My windows are small, and I decided to go for a blackout blind ( argos ) yet the size still meant Ihad to trim the blind myself. I would never do it again!! What a fiddle.

The I found some 2nd hand next curtains, that do fit but just compliment the blind.

As the windows are latge, a neutral blind may be the answer, with just some unusual/vintage curtains or material/ voiles to dress the side iyswim? How old is dd?

I've just bought a pair from Ikea from my DDs room, which are vintage style with little felt hearts, flowers and red gingham ribbon effect. I can't remember the weird name for them but they are part of a new range n the kids section.

They cost #19.99 and are floor length.

Ooh sorry. Hadn't read all your message...

Curtains aren't that wide to be honest but are full length.

Next are also doing quite lovely vintage stuff in their new spring range.

DD1 is 17 months and DD2 is on the way- expected in June. As the room is big I thought they could share- once sleep permits.
Also want to get sorted before new babe arrives.
Balck out blinds and nice fabric on top sounds good but will avaoid Argos/ DIY. Am due a trip to Ikea for wardrobe soon so will checl out their stuff- Thanks

my blackout blind is great, its lilac. If you have standard size windows you would be ok.

I just find it a handy thing, esp in summer when its very sunny, as room is south facing.

When i tire of the curtains she has wll be quite easy to put another pair with it.
