Has anyone tried L'Occitaine solid haircare?

I am trying to cut down plastics and looking at shampoo bottles but I'm pretty vain about my hair. I have thick hair that currently I only wash 2/3 times a week thinking of trying solid shampoo /conditioner bars. I read in a magazine that l'occitaine ones were good.

Following with interest, I really love loccitane stuff and would be interested to try the hair care bars!

I'd start with a cheaper one to see if you like the concept first

I tried a lush shampoo bar once and it was vile. Left a greasy scum on my hair that wouldn't wash out. I may have got the wrong type for my hair though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yes. It's excellent. I wash my hair most days because I do a lot of excercise and I find it really good.

I use the Lush yellow bar with the dried lemon slice. Love it but have thick strong hair.

Kitsch solid shampoos are the only ones I've discovered that don't leave my hair feeling scummy. I prefer them to normal shampoo now.

I've tried several ( but not those) and imo Gruum are by miles the best

darkmodeon · 25/06/2023 08:51

Aussie do a cute koala shaped one if you just want to try the concept

Quitelikeacatslife · 25/06/2023 08:56

I don't mind paying the price, it's cheaper than my current shampoo but don't want to if they are rubbish. My hair is thick but needs good moisturising , if it made it frizzy it'd be a shame.
Happy for recommendations too

Another thing to consider is that solid haircare (and shampoo bars in particular) don't work well in hard water areas, so if you live in an area with hard water, you may want to continue using liquids instead

Sunnysunbun · 26/06/2023 17:15

I'm in London and the hard water makes no difference to the shampoo bars I use. They have all been great. Even if you use it once a week it will help with plastic pollution and the insane price of some shampoos.
