Eyebrow threading is absolutly fantastic

I had mine today, £7 and they look so fantastic I keep ging to have a look at them.

I have always hated my eyebrows but I can't believe how good they look now.

I had over plucked mine a little bit by each eye so she has left that to regrow and then she will be able to do them next time and shape even better.

I am so chuffed.

Oh it hurts like hell, but no pain no gain LOL.

does it last longer than waxing?

nutcracker · 22/02/2008 13:52

Not sure tbh because I have never had mine waxed, but you do get a better shape with threading.

I have booked to go in about 3 weeks.

What is eyebrow threading, sorry to be a bit thick, but i have never heard fo it

used2bthin · 22/02/2008 13:56

Where did you get it done? I want to try this, usually get them waxed but fed up of them taking too much off as I'm trying to grow them back after years of over waxing/plucking.

SheherazadetheGoat · 22/02/2008 13:58

it is really cool. i was so fascinated by the process i didn't feel the pain.

nutcracker · 22/02/2008 13:58

I got it done at a beauty salon by me in Brum.

Jumpingbeans - Basically they pull the hairs out by twisting two peices of thread together along your eyebrows. It's really odd, but it works.

I always get my eyebrows threaded. It only costs 3 pounds in SW London. Fab lasts the same as waxing and doesn't hurt as much IMO.
The place I go is an asian beautitian

SheherazadetheGoat · 22/02/2008 13:59

i had mine done in india, i don't suppose that is much use to you but at least i get to be abit boasty.

nutcracker · 22/02/2008 13:59

I was thinking of getting top lip done, but apparently that really hurts.

Ooh am off to find somewhere that does it near me! Out of interest anyone tried eyelash perming? Me and a friend booked it but chickened out a while back!

hifi · 22/02/2008 14:10

do you have to let your eyebrows really grow for this?

nutcracker · 22/02/2008 14:11

I had a bit hifi, because I wanted the her to shape them how she thought they should be.

As I said, some bits of mine need to regrow a bit more so she left that bit.

Thanks nutcracker,

princessosyth · 22/02/2008 14:12

I have mine waxed and would love to try threading as apparantly having your eyebrows waxed can make them droop over time. Unfortunately threading is £12 around here compared to £7 for waxing and I get mine done every 3 weeks so it is a bit too pricey for me.

chocchild · 22/02/2008 14:18

Threading does give very dramatic results but once you start having the top part of your brow interfered with (which is never advised), you will become dependant on the threading. That is the side of it that I hate!

princessosyth · 22/02/2008 14:22

What happens if you stop chocchild?

RubySlippers · 22/02/2008 14:24

i have had mine threaded for ages - the shape is brilliant

she also trims the tops of my eyebrows so i get the neatest line possible

nutcracker · 22/02/2008 14:43

Yeah she did the top of mine too, which I was glad about cos mine can get a bit wild at the top.

OP posts:
chocchild · 22/02/2008 14:45

The upper brow goes wild and then needs to always be done professionally. For me, this is a problem as I hate relying on people!

hifi · 22/02/2008 17:59

thanks nutcracker, mine are actually getting long, like old mens. i might give it a go. some salons refuse to wax now, dont think clarins do it anymore.

PortAndLemon · 22/02/2008 18:04

fiona76 -- where do you go? I'm in SW London and have been vaguely thinking about this.
