Turkey neck - what actually worked and lasted?

I am in the middle of losing weight- 4 stone total to lose and i am 3 stone in. All of a sudden in the last couple of weeks my neck is looking so scraggy where my double chin has suddenly disappeared - it's all I can see when I look in the mirror and it's upsetting me more than I can say

Has anyone successfully regained a nice clean jawline/smooth neck by any means and if so what did you do and how long did it last? I'll consider anything

I am 2 weeks into using Strivectin advanced neck cream which has a temporary effect but when it wears off, it's worse than ever.

grateful for any help and advice

Exercise that lengthens and improves posture helps - it can't do anything with the actual skin but it becomes less noticeable overall if you carry it well.

Pilates, dance, yoga etc.

Skin on my neck is buggered, after extensive radiotherapy treatment in that area. I make sure it’s well moisturised, but otherwise don’t dwell on it.

Hope you are now well, and good on you to be so positive.

I know this is style and beauty, but I do find it sad that so many of us (me included) worry about our saggy necks, and on another thread, our bingo wings, when really we should celebrate our bodies, the fact that we are alive, that ageing, and everything that goes along with it, is natural. Keep fit and healthy, but wouldn't it be more progressive to accept ourselves with all those annoying flaws?

SaveMeFromForearms · 17/06/2023 12:46

I don't give a shit about being progressive 😆

I spent my 30s looking like a bag of shit, and my 40s is about me feeling good about me.

I'm in the same position although have lost weight through illness.

What can I do about a wrinkly chest? (Nothing I suspect, other than high necked clothes!).

I think it's part genetic and part sun damage. It started getting creased in my 20s 😭.

I feel like I need some all over body tape tape to hoik up where needed!!

Sunscreen , tretinoin , a gel pad whilst you sleep and better skincare .

Peels and needling

Thank you - yes I am definitely in the worst things happen at sea camp!

I don't suppose you're in the north and would make a recommendation? I'd be super grateful - DM me if so

Ah I’m sorry I’m in the south east. Generally speaking I’d try to find a qualified medical practitioner doing it as a side line.

of course they do, and it would be lovely if I could accept it, but it has just come on so suddenly. I have worked so hard losing the weight that to look worse as a result is hard for me. I'd rather fix it than spend the next 5 years feeling bad about it.

I'd go to secret aesthetics in Birmingham if you're close

blotchyredanditichy · 19/06/2023 21:32

@DailyEnergyCrisis I'm on the SE too- would you be able to give me the name of the Dr- no one near me appears to be a dr

Do you still go there? Is there a particular treatment you'd recommend?
