What to do with my hair abroad?

It will be hot & humid. I have wavy/thick/dry/coarse hair that I usually straighten at home. My hair is not cut for a curyl style. On holiday there is no point straightening it every night for an hour as it will be a mess within 5 minutes due to humidity. I cannot let it dry naturally as it is frizzy, even with product. I think I should wear it up, so I'm looking for an easy updo style for curly hair. Any thoughts ?

Avoid anything with glycerin in. I’m a curly girl and mine is cotton wool in this heat 🙄

I have thick curly hair. On holiday my go to is middle parting, scrapped back into a tight bun. Big earrings, mascara eyeliner and a bold statement lippy

I can't be dealing with hair down, on my neck and it turns into a ball of fluff!

French or Dutch plait(s).

Should stay in the style all day so won't need tightening/re-doing.

I think two Dutch plaits look really good. I would need to practice more though!

Your hair sounds like mine. I either do a claw clip and a stupid teenage TikTok clip has revolutionized my claw clip game (I kid you not) - open it wide at the front of your hair and drag it right back to where you want the clip to sit and let it close, then fold the hair up into it without moving it. Makes it much more secure. On the other hand, this is crap for sunbathing as it digs in at the back so little plaits as a coronet work. The humidity makes it all ping out so it looks like a crazy hall but I tell myself this looks cute. Good luck!
