Sandals not open toed with support

I had planctar Facilitis some years ago so need a shoe that had a good solid base. Additionally I have an as yet undiagnosed issue with my toes (constant pins and needles) under investigation. And a wide foot.

Work has changed their dress policy and we are no longer permitted opentoed shoes or slip ons. Last summer I lived in fitflops and a pair of Tom's. However Tom's are now out due to the toes issues. And fitflops are out due to them being open toed

I do NOT get on With sketchers they agrivaye my PF within a day. I do not like trainers. I cant wear van like shoes as not supportive enough. My feet overheat very easily so I really do not want anything lace up that seems to make it worse.

Is this me on a lost course or does closed toed sandals with a back strap with good foot support that doesn't look like the shoes my grandma wore exist?

Did you say work have banned slip on shoes?

For PF I prefer arch support look at Strive, Vionic, Gabor, ECCO and Fitflop (they do various styles) these are all brands of footwear which I have found to be ok.

Pavers do a closed toe sandal called Loretta that is just about the most comfortable footwear I’ve ever possessed In three colours and reduced at the mo.

Fly shoes/sandels are the only thing I can comfortably wear.

I have purchased a pair of El Naturalista shoes.

@NashvilleQueen I did say slip on but I miswrote (no idea why) I meant backless shoes so like clogs /Birkenstocks etc

In everyday life, I tend to wear Allegria shoes or newishly found Wolky shoes (tnx Mumsnet) Fitflops or Birkenstocks. I am finding the Allegria and Wolky shoes too hot at the moment and really want some comfortable sandals. Hence the question here.

I first got PF 7 years ago and then adding the undiagnosed toe issue I find shoe shopping an utterly exhausting task. Add to that I am not keen on brands like Hotter or Vionics (I just don't find they work for me) and most brands are out :). This is where MN is great as often you discover brands you don't know like the El Naturalista. new one for me and it looks like they have the support I need.

I think I will also get the clog Birkenstocks they are just fun

For the last few years Fitflop have sold a design called Cova. Enclosed toes with an ankle strap. Most importantly, they had a leather lining so never felt hot, sweaty and slippery.

I had a quick look and they don't seem to do them this year. You might find some on sites like Brandalley or ebay.

I've had PF for decades. Every time I stray from Fitflops the pain starts again. Hope you find something comfortable that fits the bill.

No offence intended but I really don't like the cova fitflop it reminds me of the shoes my grandma wore. (I loved her dearly but I'm not yet ready for her fashion sense)

Thanks for clarifying OP!

I am a big fan of Swedish Hasbeens but I don't know whether they would fit the bill. The wood is moulded so gives arch support and they feel really breathable. Something like this https://www.swedishhasbeens.com/summer-sale/new-covered-black-ss23

You can get all sorts of colours and others with closed toes.
