Bare Minerals foundation

Does anyone use it? What is it like?
I really like their tinted moisturiser but wanted something with a little more coverage for special occasions (not too heavy). However, I don't like anything Matt and like a nice dewy glow.
I've no counters anywhere near me and am struggling with the shades! I've absolutely zero idea what to go for. I'm currently wearing the tinted moisturiser in natural but with my tan, it's too light. The problem with my tan is that I'm also really freckly so I struggle with a good match.

Thank you all ☺️

Saying that, a few of the reviews are saying it's quite a matt foundation. I'm fed up of trying and failing with cour matching! Any dewy, medium coverage suggestions?

I use Bare Minerals but not their liquid foundation. I have the complexion rescue (which might be the tinted moisturiser you are referring to), but my go-to is the Original powder. That gives a nice dewy finish.

If you're after a liquid one though, Charlotte Tilbury is a good shout.

@username1722 is this below the one you use? What is it like? I never use powder. Does it feel just like powder when on? I always feel it will look powdery and matt?

Yes that's the one! I've used it since my late teens and I'm in my early 30s now so it has definitely stood the test of time!

If you apply it properly, it doesn't look like powder at all. I feel like a lot of people go wrong with it because they don't apply it properly. Their mantra is always "swirl, tap, buff". So you swirl it in the lid, tap off the excess, and then buff it gently onto your skin.

The swirling in the lid is to warm the powder up. And then you need to properly buff it into your skin so that it melts seamlessly into it.

For me, it doesn't look like any foundation on my skin at all. It just looks like my own skin, which is one of the reasons I love it so much. It looks so natural, but the coverage is lovely. You can do more layers if you need more coverage. Just remember to buff it in properly so it warms and melts into your skin. You also only need the tiniest amount each time. One jar normally lasts me a whole year.

And it also feels completely lightweight. You don't feel you are wearing foundation/powder, and you don't look like you are. It just looks like you have naturally good skin. I'm a huge fan!

Can I ask does anyone on this thread have spot prone skin but find bare minerals tinted moisturiser is good for them?

The Complexion rescue? It was good for me but I didn't have oily skin

But did have spots. I didn't find it helped clear them up or anything just that it worked

I used their foundation for years and really liked it. They no longer have a counter near me and I much prefer to see the make up so Ive stopped.

Its mat yes and I too used powder over it but no it doesn't feel powdery after. I actually miss the sensation of the powder after the new foundation I use doesn't need it.
