Not sure if this is the right topic but here goes. I am looking for an antiperspirant to use on my face to stop excessive sweating. There are so many on google
I thought I'd ask here for your recommendations.

There are lots of facial mists around. I know the Kiehls superfood one (green colour) which I've used is mattifying and they say can be used as a primer

If you are sweating excessively maybe you should see your GP? It isn't hot so maybe there is an underlying cause.

HappiDaze · 08/06/2023 21:43

Actually it's Elemis superfood tea mist

It's over 20 here this week, I'm constantly in and out at work.

I sweat like a beast, use driclor. Wouldn't. Recommend for face though. Facial sweating might need a dr visit.

I have a friend who had the same problem. She spent a small fortune on lots of different products but nothing worked. Anything strong enough to make any noticeable difference at all was too harsh on the skin or left an unpleasant residue. She ended up getting Botox which completely stopped the excessive sweating.

I had this, it was utter hell. Acupuncture changed my life.

Puppylucky · 08/06/2023 22:02

Blimey clearly a few people on here who haven't hit peri / menopause yet! Sweaty face and scalp is a common symptom and it nearly drove me mad. The best product I've found is this - sorry I've forgotten how to a link but this stuff works!

That ship sailed many years ago @Puppylucky. Hot flushes are a thing of the past now for me.

You can use products like Driclor on your face. Dermatologist told me I could.

I struggle with some similar products on my pits, but tolerate them on my forehead. They are effective and do not sting or cause any reaction from my extremely sensitive skin.

But. Big but. If you stop hyperhydrosis in one part of your body, it often breaks out in another. For me, if I stop my face sweating, my scalp sweats instead. I can wipe my face, but I can't do anything about wringing wet hair.

It's probably worth going to the doctor about this, anyway.

We used to use Mehron Skin Prep for cheer and dance to stop face sweating and help makeup stick - seriously you could do a full routine and not a whisper of sweat on your face.

it’s not something you’d want to use everyday though as I don’t think it’s especially great for your skin.

Laserbeam24 · 09/06/2023 01:37

Hi!

This is actually a condition called hyperhidrosis. A quick trip to the doctors can sort it. There's a roll on antiperspirant called Anyhydrol Forte, it can be used on the face and is usually effective. There's also medication you can try.

I've recently been prescribed Glycopyrrolate in a cream, it's a game changer.

Cincinnatus · 09/06/2023 07:09

Driclor should work well. Make sure your face is completely dry before using ortherwise it will sting like a bitch!!!

Seriously, acupuncture!! Cured my problem in about 8 sessions, before that my life was ruined by my soaking wet hair.
