Botox advice

Hello 👋🏻

So I’m 30 and have been considering “baby botox” for the last couple of years to target crows feet and I am going to book a consultation at a doctor-led clinic in the next couple of weeks and so I know they will advise me but I had just wondered if I could get a little bit of advice from anyone here aswell who has had Botox who might be able to help me.

Will they likely suggest I have it in 3 areas (forehead, between the eyebrows and the crows feet)? I’m just wondering if I was to get just crows feet would it look a bit off balance? No real deep wrinkles as such when my face is resting - just fine lines I suppose but I have quite an animated face, always have, and so when I talk and smile and laugh (particularly when I’ve seen videos or photos back of me playing with my young nieces and nephews) I feel my crows feet look quite deep, between the brows and forehead don’t bother me at all but of obviously I don’t want to look odd.

Would it maybe be a suggestion to ask the clinic for a little less botox in those areas compared to the crows feet just to keep balance- is that what they are likely to suggest anywho?

Many thanks xx

Basically I still want movement in my face! I don’t want to be “frozen” so that’s my query really xx

If you only want it for the crows feet that is the area they will treat.
You would only treat 3 areas if you wanted frown and forhead dynamic lines treated.

Unless you have uneven features it won't look unbalanced.
Crows feet Botox is very subtle but very effective.

Hi, I’m a lot older than you but have had Botox lots of times, I’ve had just my 11s done, I’ve had 3 areas, I’ve had light Botox and asked for more.
if you discuss the effect you’re looking for, your practitioner will advise you but yes you can have more/less in different areas.
I always need more in my 11s as that muscle is very strong on my face.
hope that helps

My main advice would be go to a really good practitioner (a doctor or dentist preferably), or better yet, go to someone recommended.

You won't look unbalanced, your face will still move in the same way, but just less intensely, if that makes sense. If the practitioner is experienced they will know not to overdo it and still allow you some movement.

They will usually ask you the areas you are concerned about, but someone good will refuse to do certain areas, or let you know the potential pitfalls of some areas (for example if you do too much on the outside of the forehead, sometimes the eyebrows can droop, looking weird)

You could try just getting one area at first, and go from there. I have only gotten my 11s done, which is super quick and easy. However I've heard that around the eyes can be a bit more painful/ uncomfortable.

Thanks so much for your reassuring replies, much appreciated! I’m just a little concerned of some things I’ve read on other threads here that you have to sleep on your back afterwords otherwise the Botox might settle strangely… is that a thing?! I’m a front/side sleeper 🤦🏼‍♀️

just book your appointment for early on in the day, so you will be ok to lie down by bedtime. never had any issues doing it that way.
