Shampoo for swimmers?

Been upping my swimming to 4-5 times per week. Hair is not liking it. Am dark haired but front is now completely silvery grey. Any suggestions for shampoo/conditioner? I don't mind parting with a bit of £. Now I am no longer dyeing it I am saving a fortune!

I use Paul Mitchell number 3. I bought a massive bottle and it has lasted ages. You need a good swimmer’s conditioner as well as it does strip the hair.

I used to buy a specific chlorine remover shampoo from Boots. Hairdresser recommended it.

Get a cap. I made my peace with it years ago, better to look slightly foolish in the pool than take on a losing battle to try and rescue damaged hair. Mine only gets a little bit damp around the edges, I don’t do anything “extra” to it or use any specific products, and the colour and condition are fine.

Thankyou - any more brand suggestions?

@LoobyDop - can't do caps, have tried many times. don't care how I look but smell/feel/sensation triggers a bunch of sensory stuff I can't cope with

Cheap conditioner through your dry hair before you swim.

Ultra Swim, available on Amazon. Boots used to do one but haven’t seen it for years. I use Philip Kingsley Swimcap and then just my normal shampoo and conditioner.

Soak your hair in the shower before getting in. Dry hair will absorb more of the chlorinated water than wet hair.
