Uurghhhhh...... Just seen a few photos recently of me and my old lady turkey neck. I've reached that age now... Can anybody recommend budget friendly creams that actually work?

I would recommend the fragile skin perricone MD stuff - sorted my décolletage out and it was recommended to me by someone on here

I’ve been using Prai neck serum and cream for the past couple of weeks and I think I can see an improvement. I got a little set of both at M&S

Temple spa exult is great

Only works whilst you're using it tho

Buildingthefuture · 04/06/2023 22:28

I second Prai serum and cream (day and night) Easy to buy on Amazon and does seem to work.

I really didnt like the smell of the Prai cream so ditched mine!

I started using Cerave hyaluronic acid on my face a few months ago. I take it right down to my neck and upper chest, followed by my usual moisturiser. I think it's made a difference.

The thing is, most neck creams are just nice luxurious moisturisers. Lovely to use (especially the expensive ones in the lovely packing), but not going to do much. Unless they have an active ingredient like retinol in them, you're not going to see much of a result.

Save your money, do some research and invest in a retinol product (or even better prescription strength tretinoin), but be careful as the skin on our necks can be quite sensitive. Also, use a good SPF everyday to protect from further sun damage.

But also, be realistic in that a cream can only do so much, with heavy jowling or laxity, no cream is going to reverse that. Only surgery.

sausage767 · 07/06/2023 08:20

They’re just moisturisers really. The might help with a minor amount of crepiness caused by dehydration. But no topical ingredient has been proven to make a real difference to skin laxity. So save your money.

I’ve been using Tret on my neck for the last year, no improvement.

I was expecting great results from Prai but was very disappointed.
I'm now using the Boots No7 Laboratories Line Correcting Serum as suggested by a Mumsnetter and hoping for a miracle on my Spaghetti Junction lined décolletage ( the way I side sleep and wrap my arms around myself causes it + sun damage on fair skin ).
Fingers crossed Smile

Beauty Pie Neck and Chest spray - really really good. Better than Prai by a mile (and I used to love Prai).

Jungfraujoch · 19/06/2023 22:21

JMAngel1 Could you link to that one please?

Callipygion · 22/06/2023 21:19

Does anyone know if there any exercises that work?
I’ve been trying one (you sort of grin like Wallace & Grommet, pulling up the bit under your chin, hold and repeat 10 times) for about 4 weeks now (am and pm) and can’t see any difference at all. Gutted.

lindyloo57 · 22/06/2023 21:32

Prai did nothing for me, I do use tret on my face only 3 times a week, but my chest won't tolerate it.

WhenIWasAFieldMyself · 23/06/2023 07:43

Anything you'd put on your face. Ingredients in "neck" creams are no different to those for your face (check INCI decided) So, sure, if you've not used a decent moisturizer, retinoids etc on your neck in the past, then any "neck" cream will make you think it's working wonders.

Astral or Nivea blue tin is great for neck and chest.

Freddie28 · 23/06/2023 08:07

PDO threads done properly plus moisturiser.

FannyBawz · 23/06/2023 08:08

PrimalLass · 23/06/2023 11:15
