Anyone use Pharmacy Geoff?

Does anyone get Tret from here?
I use Dermatica 0.1% I want to know whether theirs would be the same strength and what the dates are like on their products as the postage is expensive but the tret is a fiver and bigger tube!

I always delay my Dermatica as I use so little but they don't move the billing date anymore and I just think product is wasted and Dermatica has short dates so every time I get a cream I log in and delay next cream until the use by of the new one, somehow I still pay most months and now it's going up to £25.
If dates aren't an issue with Pharm Geoff I don't think I'd use more than 5 tubes a year that's just over £40 with the postage if I bulk buy.

Sorry to clear up, Pharm Geoff does do 0.1% tret but I'm just not convinced that Dermatica cream is that strong as I've been using it for years and although I think it's helping I've never had the glow consistently, my skin is quite nice and has fewer spots but still not like I'd expect after years.

I wouldn't stop using Tret as it was terrible before, but sometimes still a bit shit for a few days or so.

Okay I've just ordered from Tretinoin shop, similar price to Dermatica for 20g tube, I hope the date is long because 20g should last me a few months now.
Anyone have experience with Tretinoin Shop UK? I did use paypal so not too worried!

I’ve used PG for years but last time I tried they didn’t have the 0.05 tret cream so I ordered from Tretinoin World, which was fine.

I've never used Pharmacy Geoff, but Farmacia Andorra are quite good for Retirides (which is a Spanish brand of tretinoin) if you get no joy from Tretinoin Worlds.
However, you may not necessarily get better results with a higher strength - there was a study done where participants used either the lowest strength or the highest strength for a year, and difference in results was minimal, but the irritation with the 0.1% was much more. I've heard quite a few dermatologists say that it's consistent use over time that gives best results, not necessarily higher strength. I've been on 0.05% for a few years and will stick to it as my skin tolerates it well.

Having said that, Dermatica and Skin and Me are expensive considering you can get the stuff from overseas pharmacies for cheaper.

Thank you, I've ordered 0.1%, I've been using that strength for over a year and a half now and started Tret in 2020 so I'm at a point where maintenance applications 2 or 3 nights a week have the same effect as using every night.

My skin is still flawed but I know it's as good as it's ever going to be, the skin tone is more even and I feel like I'm protecting from ongoing damage as much as a person reasonably can.

I have been happy with Dermatica in the past but I'm throwing more and more product away because of their silly short dates and the fact I don't need 15ml every five weeks, I could use it maybe 15 times in five weeks now and have the same result as if I used the whole tube. I'm hoping the cream that arrives has a reasonable date so I can see how much I actually use, I think 20g could last a few months now.

Can I ask you have you tried the creams and gels? is there a difference between the two types? Also do you just use what ever brand is available as long as it's the strength you usually use?

I have only ever used Retirides in cream form, because that's just what I ordered at first and it worked for me so I kept using it. I started on 0.025% and after about a year I upped to 0.05%. I'm going to stick with this strength as my skin tolerates it well and I don't get irritation anymore.
If you have oily skin maybe the gel would be better in terms of application and absorbing, but I don't think there's a difference in results between gel or cream. It's just preference I suppose.

I'm not in the UK so I have never used Dermatica, and had to go searching for an alternative. The expiry date thing sounds like a con to be honest.
I just checked the tubes of Retirides I bought around Christmas time and their expiry date is 06/2024, so I'm not sure why Dermatica can justify such short expiry dates, unless it's something to do with the fact that they premix ingredients, like niacinamide etc. into their formula - maybe that does degrade the tretinoin eventually I don't know.
