What type of blond works for extremely fast root regrowth?

My hairdresser suggested highlights but I was wondering if ombre or bronde is easier to maintain. I usually do my roots at home using natural home kits. I don't want to become reliant upon a hairdresser to maintain the look. Thanks

Balyage is what I have. It looks great and I only need to get it done every 8 weeks. My hair grows like grass. I cant stand blond hair with an inch of dark roots it looks awful. This looks great for ages.

Thanks. is that the same as ombre? Can anybody recommend a decent salon in London where the focus isn't on pink-headed twenty year olds and there is some understanding of this problem?

I also like MP Laura Trott's current colour. I am not exactly sure how to categorise it.

I get lots of foils at the front and balayage at the back. My hairdresser must put at least 100 fouls in so it a massive effort. I only get mine down 2-3 times a year. It really depends on your natural colour too though. If you're dark haired you're going to need the roots doing every few weeks. I'm naturally fair/mousy coloured.

My hair is medium brown, naturally. I have no idea what the percentage of grey might be!

I'd go ombre
