Tell me how you get rid of dry skin on the bottoms of your feet?

Not a massive fan of those foot stone rubby things I hate the feeling but I do use one occasionally, anything else that works?

Flexibility heel balm will soften it.

I only use pumice stone after my feet has had a good soak.

You could try Footner Exfoliating Foot Mask Socks
https://amzn.eu/d/8fczXdG

But be warned that your feet will shed quite dramatically for at least 7-10 days so you may want to avoid wearing sandals in that time

I just use a fine grade pumice block and cheap moisturiser, sometime put socks on after if they are really dry. Increasing dietary fats is what made the biggest difference to my dryness overall though.

A medical pedicure with a podiatrist!

Amazing- gets rid of all the dry and hard skin and leaves me feeling like I'm walking on air!

BriarHare · 28/05/2023 08:13

Flexitol.

It’s fabulous stuff. I have no hard skin on my feet whatsoever.

Meant to say Flexitol of course.

Why doesn't mn have an edit button!

A chiropodist and Urea 10% cream

Whatthediddlyfeck · 28/05/2023 08:16

Another vote for flexitol-it sorted mine out a few years ago and it’s never been an issue since

BobsYerAunty · 28/05/2023 08:22

A chiropodist or good pedicure, then maintain with foot scrub in the bath and flexitol.

Hottoffeesauce · 28/05/2023 08:39

Margaret Dabbs professional foot file and then her overnight cream called 'Foot Hygiene Cream'. You will wake up and think you have somebody else's feet! All her products are amazing (but a bit pricey). Worth every penny though as the results are outstanding.

I have heard that washing with soap (traditional sort) rather than shower gel helps.

OneMoreCookieMonster · 28/05/2023 08:55

File after a shower or bath to rid rid of the worst bits and then apply a thick layer of nipple cream to your heels. (Lansinoh) its pure lanolin. Socks on over night and then repeat with nipple cream for a few days. Then add do a thing layer in the morning.

Awesome on chapped lips as well

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 28/05/2023 12:27

Soap and Glory foot file followed by Flexitol cream

Pigtailsandall · 28/05/2023 12:49

Honestly, I have long since accepted that whatever elbow grease I put on fixing my hardened feet is a scratch compared to what a good pedicure can do. So I just try to budget for that every few months, particularly in the summer when my feet get hard from wearing sandals or walking barefoot.

Appreciate it's not the cheapest method but I did spend bucketloads on different products too (plus nail varnish) which I no longer do.

NorthFaceofthelaundrypile · 28/05/2023 13:51

In the summer, even if I’m going to be wearing sandals all day, I start with Flexitol and socks. I don’t take the socks off until I’m ready to go out.
I find my feet are worse in summer, so need it most now.

Eternallyfeckedoff · 28/05/2023 14:02

@Roussette I agree. fantastic things 😍

Kyse23 · 28/05/2023 14:06

Oh I have a whole routine Blush

Microplane foot file on dry feet
Shower, bar soap with exfoliating gloves
Once a week a foot scrub
After shower and before bed every single night use any foot cream with urea, generously and put socks on

The chiropodist couldn't find any dry skin to remove and told me to tell my dad how to do it Grin

borntobequiet · 28/05/2023 14:10

Podiatrist once a year.
The occasional pedicure in the summer.
Foot file, scrub and cream with urea (very cheap from Savers) more or less weekly

Best of all, a little scalpel thing that I use occasionally to “shave” the hard skin off my heels, so satisfying (from Boots).
