Help! Had a two week manicure (OPI) today and the polish just lifted off my thumb! I go on holiday Monday and everything is shut tomorrow.

Is there any way to stick it back down?

Ah I see. Maybe you could file it a bit to make it smooth and then paint over with normal polish. Just to tide you over for the holiday

OP I've never met someone who also likes them short as when they grow out it really annoys me!! Guessing it's a sensory thing? The person who does my nails always laughs at this, but as they start to grow past the finger tip it really annoys me and feels heavier? Not sure how to explain it!

No not a sensory thing, my nails just split at a certain length. I think nails look better shorter.

Definitely a gel manicure from an OPI bottle, I've had lots of gel manicures in my life and it was Cured under the UV light box as normal.

@Candymay i may well do that. I've packed a file and the polish in case I need to.

This happened to me and it was because the light in the uv lamp wasn't working properly so the gel didn't cure on every nail, as the lamp was not on for long enough. I had 2/10 nails peel off within 3 or so hours of leaving the salon.

I ended up being able to go back as when I called the salon they were mortified and said to go in straight away. But I would have gone with finding a bottle of normal polish in the matching colour if I couldn't get another appointment.

This happened to me the only time I had an OPI gel manicure. It lasted a day or 2 at most (and I was also at centre parcs, like a previous poster, coincidentally). It really put me off OPI gel.

Thanks @Sorcière i tried the original place this morning but they were fully booked. They have given me another manicure for free.

Nowhere else was open in my town this morning.

Doesn't help me now though! I found a perfect match in superdrug so if the whole nail does come off I can paint the odd nail.

Nothing at the airport.

They should have told you to go in for them to fix the mistake they made.
It wouldn't have taken long. I'd be fuming about them not offering a repair immediately
