I recently decided to give Stitch Fix a try, and I must say that I am not at all satisfied with the service they have provided.
Whilst I understand that the initial cost is just £10, which can be deducted if you decide to keep any of the clothing items they send, I am disappointed that they have sent me items that I had specifically stated I did not want. This has meant that right from the start, the £10 is essentially wasted.
One of the issues is that despite clearly mentioning my preference against receiving jeans, they have included a pair in the selection they sent me.
I had also specifically requested shoes or sandals with a heel of at least 2 inches, but they have sent me a pair of flat sandals instead. What frustrates me even more is that none of the items they initially emailed me for approval met my requirements, yet I was not given an opportunity to re-select. They simply sent whatever they pleased.
In every opportunity I had to click on items I liked on the website, I disliked every single sleeveless top they proposed. Yet they have sent me two of them.
I understand that there is an element of risk and surprise involved in a service like this, and I was open to that aspect. However, when a company fails to take into account your explicit requests and preferences, it raises questions about the purpose of using such a service in the first place.
Given my experience, I have decided not to continue using Stitch Fix and will not be investing any further money into their service. I feel if they're going to ignore what I say, then it's £10 down the drain, isn't it?
