Do those Electrical Stim Exercising machines actually work? Any recommendations?

I cannot exercise as much or as well as I used to due to other health issues, I am considering buying one of the little machines you stick to yourself and give electrical pulses.

I think Slendertone used to be the best, but they aren't trading now.

Even if it only improves my muscle tone a little, I would be happy.

Anyone any experience of these? Thanks

DM had one of these. Didn’t do very much and just ended up sat in it’s little case gathering dust.

Watching with interest OP-I used to have a Slendertone one (and found it helped) but definitely on market for new one.

I didn't realise slendertone had gone.

But yes if you are coming at it from needing to rehabilitate core strength they do work. They won't give you abs unless you have very low body fat.

I have user Slendertone to get back basic core strength after being essentially bedridden for over a year with a long illness. I had no core strength and couldn't even sit up on my own. Then I kept using it and it helped strengthen my back and improve posture.

I'd had a bit of a relapse there, though not as bad and was pondering on ordering replacement sticky pads for my Slendertone....Will have to think of some other device now.

There's a really expensive one called Bionic Gym that I saw on telly a few years ago - had lots of research at the time into it
