Tinted spf recommendations please

I’m shockingly bad at using spf unless I’m on holiday and as I get increasingly close to 50 and see the wrinkles to prove it, I know I’ve got to start!

What I want is a facial spf with a tint. Whether that’s a tinted moisturiser with spf or a bb cream with spf, I don’t really mind. My skin is generally ok but I have a patch on my jawbone which gets really congested so I try to use nothing too heavy.

Any recommendations?

Bare minerals have some nice ones with lots of colour tones to choose from

I use Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser. It's SPF30. I'm very pale and sensitive to the sun and my face don't burn with this on and my skin looks glowy and healthy.

I’d prefer something I could buy online and I’m frightened of buying expensive mistakes. I think I’d prefer something which is more of a ‘universal’ shade if such a thing exists?

@TheOGCCL what is the tint like in that Eucerin spf? I want something that will give a bit of glow and colour. I really don’t want to use a separate spf and tinted moisturiser, I’d get so many chin spots!

@TheOGCCL I’m not particularly fair so it might be a bit too pale for me. I tan very easily and I love having a bit of colour (hence why I’ve been lax with the spf over the years.)

I’m going to look at all of the suggestions, thanks everyone.

Nars!! I haven’t worn foundation in years.
Comes in so many shades, I just love the stuff. Pricey though.

I adore the Dr Sam one - I even have it as a subscription. She is a dermatologist.

The bottle is a bit annoying but the product is absolutely fab.

If anyone wants to try it (I get money off too)

Here's a £5 off coupon for your first order at Dr Sam's. To accept, use my referral link: i.refs.cc/Qm9026nu?smile_ref=eyJzbWlsZV9zb3VyY2UiOiJzbWlsZV91aSIsInNtaWxlX21lZGl1bSI6IiIsInNtaWxlX2NhbXBhaWduIjoicmVmZXJyYWxfcHJvZ3JhbSIsInNtaWxlX2N1c3RvbWVyX2lkIjoxNjA4MTgyMjkzfQ%3D%3D

I have used Dr Jart before and really liked it. It's spf 50 and you can buy it from Boots online. www.boots.com/dr-jart-premium-beauty-balm-40ml-10330646

That's one I tried.

The consistency is nice, but the light shade is far too dark for paler skin tones. If anyone has a foundation shade such as porcelain, ivory, light, fair then they might find that it's too dark and warm.

This with bells on. I use both the 30 and 50 and it is amazing. I try others at times but always come back to it. I have Roseaca and this one does not break me out. Ever.

I've used this for a couple of years and really like it but on Friday I burnt through it. I did wonder if they'd changed the formulation; the last tube I bought wasn't as good a colour match but it might be a coincidence.

KillingMeDeftly · 21/05/2023 09:47

Bondi Sands do a tinted SPF50. You're unlikely to apply as much tinted as untinted so I would go for SPF50 over 30. It's a fairly matte finish but if you've got oilier skin that shouldn't be a problem, and Australia tends to be way ahead when it comes to sun protection.
