Summer evening/party dress.

I need a dress! It's going to be an evening drinks party, indoors with disco in early June. So far I like this dressed up with some heels but not 100% sure the colour will suit me. So can anyone improve on it? Needs to cover knees and not be tight and clingy on my stomach. I'm a size 12 and 5'7" and a well balanced straightish shape.

The only thing I'd say is op you said nothing that clings to your stomach? Would any of them not cling? Satin just always seems to me to be something that accentuates a tummy! I could be wrong though!

I prefer your original choice. I’ve got a Ghost evening dress and the satin doesn’t cling but the sizing can be quite tricky.

Another option might be Anthropologie Somerset dress?

Thank you for the insight- can you enlighten me more about the sizing? Was going to order medium as I am a pretty standard size 12 in most other shops unless they are very generous and might squeeze in a 10 in some items.

Not sure about the Somerset dress but I did see this on Anthropologie and think it's lovely- struggling to imagine how it would look on someone more than a size 8 and more than a few years older than the model.

There's something a bit maternity about the dress. I like the colour though.

@FancyFanny re Anthropologie, I’m a standard 12 with a flat chest and the Small fits well. I’d suggest buying S & M and sending one back?

I like the first dress - sorry, but I think some for the paler coloured satin-look Ghost ones look like nighties!

This has just come into my M and S. It reminds me of the Ghost dress but cheaper.
I’m a soft summer but I could just about take the coral colour as I’m adjacent to autumn.

I had a nice satin top and unfortunately shows up any splash marks, from drinks, or from washing hands etc

I had the Ghost Grace dress for my 50th earlier this year. I had it in green and it was gorgeous on. Really flattering and glam. Have you looked at that one
