Has anyone had Morpheus8 treatment?

I’m considering this possibly combined with a vampire facial. I’m 46, very few lines (dark circles under eyes getting more prominent if anyone has ideas). But skin texture is not good, as I’ve had acne since I was 12, not to a terrible point but on and off and leaving some minor scarring/ bumpiness.

My friends had it for aging/lines and it sounds like it would help me. Has anyone any experience to share? Was it painful? Did it make a difference? How often was it needed to maintain? Would you recommend?

I’ve had it a few times. It’s kind of like a little ahrink wrapping for the skin. I do see an improvement and must fork out for a mother session soon. It does hurt, but they use a lot of numbing cream and most of the time spent there is waiting for the numbing cream to kick in. Once it’s over it’s fine and you generally look ok after 2 days.

I had the Morpheus8 in the summer of 2023. The video describes the experience as uncomfortable - it is painful! even with numbing cream I did persevere as I desperately wanted the treatment. The 2nd treatment was easier as i knew what to expect and the 3rd session was a little bit more painful again.

6 months later my skin has definitely improved, BUT I have a huge dilemma, as I wanted it to eradicate my early stage jowels. Photos were taken at the beginning and the middle of the treatments (several weeks later). I was persuaded to have the M8 around my cheeks and forehead , as I was told , if going to lift, why not lift all at the same time. I thought this made sense , so agreed. 1 month after the final treatment, I clearly notices my right cheek has slightly dropped, creating an eye bag that wasn't there before. I am currently querying this, asking the question if the M8 disintegrated fats around the area in question, by putting too high a frequency on that area. I am still awaiting a reply. All being said and done, this now means I will have to look at surgery to get rid of the eye bag.

Only advice I can really give is, yes , it will definitely tighten the jowels but don't be persuaded to go higher on the face , just in case you end up what happend to me.

@DefyingAge interesting as you have experienced something that might be related to fat destruction. This is my concern with the treatment. Some quarters claim this sort of treatment (anything involving heat, radio frequency etc) ultimately destroys fat cells and we do NOT want to destroy fat cells in our face. The subcutaneous fat is what gives our skin youth and plumpness.

This is what makes me not go for it

Pinkfrlls · 15/02/2024 14:32

Yes, the risk of fat destruction is what puts me off beaming anything at my face.

I have done it. The results have been really great both in terms of jawline definition and cheek lift, but it was quite painful during the procedure despite the numbing cream. For me it healed rapidly however and I was fine the next day. You do need to go to a reputable medical doctor rather than a spa though as the machine has many settings and levels (intensity and depth of needles) and they need to do the right setting for your particular facial areas. This way fat cells are not destroyed, but shrunk.

I went for a consult re this with Dr Strawford in the South West - he said I probably wouldn’t like the results as it’s the fat in my face that’s dropped rather than just empty skin…presumably it is a ‘shrink wrap’ thing rather than a treatment that essentially gives you a facelift! He hinted that it possibly kills fat as he said my skin would be left emptier after. Worth bearing in mind if you’re fleshy like me rather than gaunt!

Oh my goodness replies!!!

I’ve had 3 treatments by now. Yes it hurt like hell BUT is hugely improved my skin tone and acne scarring which is what I wanted it for (not much in the way of sagging or lines yet).

debating laser just to try to take it to the next level now…
