Banishing a BIG tummy, procedures that work?

Any ideas beyond the usual diet and exercise. Don't want a tummy tuck, ideally. BUT this REALLY prevents me from wearing what I want to and too many assume I am pregnant.

There are a few medical type procedures about, toning, fat freezing? What works cosmetically, if anything?

It would be helpful to know why is it big? Is it excess weight? Or a weak core? Or something like diastasis recti or a hernia etc? Different solutions for different problems! 😊

Hmm, @OliverKitten I think it's a familial genetic thing, it's where we all carry weight. Yes, to a weak core although I try, intermittently with Pilates plus to strengthen and am reasonably fit. I am short so can't eat too much without gaining weight. Unfortunately. Prob need a multi-pronged approach! Thanks!

Okay, so a mix of weight and muscle strength maybe? Well personally I'd seriously try everything non-invasive first before doing anything that involved cutting into my body. If I wasn't having success with pilates I might upgrade to a couple of appointments with a personal trainer or maybe a home workout programme specifically for the core problem (tailored for women who've had pregnancies of that's you). Maybe give yourself a decent amount of time to make a difference, and only if nothing has changed after that time and you've genuinely given it your all then look at riskier things? Personally I find it easier to stick to the programme if I've said "I'm going to do these exercises five times a week for three months and expect to see this body part is X stronger" or whatever. Having an end date and a goal makes me more dedicated!

Re the weight, have you looked at how insulin/blood sugar factors can potentially cause weight to go on the middle section? It's worth doing a bit of research into this to see if you think it applies to you. You could look at low carb/GI type eating if you think that might be worth a try.
