Face and neck lift in Turkey

I'm looking to have my face and neck done over there and wondered if anyone could give me any personal recommendations
It 20k over here and I just can't afford that.
I'm really anxious about having my face messed up abroad.

There is a woman on Insta who has documented her experiences of this. Might be useful. Faceliftat50. I have to say, it put me right off...

Please don’t have major surgery in a place far away with no aftercare - your life is literally worth more than that, jowls and wrinkles and all.

This.

Even in the absolute best case scenario where things go well during the actual op - and this may not be the case - anyone can suffer post operative complications, I wouldn’t want to risk it.

You mean Turkey where 50,000 people died in an earthquake some weeks ago?

Really bad idea.
I'm also jaded because my son had a medical emergency in Turkey & apart from the tricky language barrier I found the doctors dismissive... thankfully we managed to get him back to the UK.
I've also had major cosmetic surgery before & it has gone wrong! So I know how vulnerable you can be.

A woman literally died in Turkey a couple of months ago from having a gastric band fitted. Much safer to pay extra and have it in the UK

LIZS · 11/05/2023 16:58

Just seen an article on Danniella Westbrook who ended up back in hospital after complications of a facelift done in Turkey, Surgeons in UK had refused to operate due to her previous issues and ops so would wonder about ethics of the Turkish clinic who did.

Gettingbysomehow · 12/05/2023 09:45

Well that's put me right off now - thanks folks, I mean that sincerely.
I guess I'd better just keep saving.

People die in the uk from gastric band surgery.Typical Britsh attitude assuming a UK private surgeon is somehow necessarily better than Johnny foreigner

I know people who have had success in Turkey. From hair to gastric band and another had his teeth done.

I am also on tik tok and follow a lady from Ireland who has had horrendous issues with her teeth and I’ve also seen others who have had shocking issues.

You sound bitter. I wouldn't have surgery overseas due to a lack of follow-up care once back home. Also, if there are complications, can they resolve the issue? I had Lasik eye surgery, which went wrong in Thailand they charged me to fix it, and they couldn't. I had to fly home urgently to get the issue resolved at my own expense.
