Private derm for roaccutane for teenager?

Interested to hear of any experiences and costs for going private for roaccutane treatment? My daughter is 13 yrs and has had acne for 2 years, topicals making little difference, in fact her skin is getting worse with more coverage with some scarring.
We’re due back at GP to revisit her treatment, currently on adapalene and think next course may be antibiotics.
I had a similar journey with my skin and wish I’d been prescribed roaccutane sooner than my thirties. It was the only thing that worked.
I’m sure I’d read on here years ago about going private for initial appointment then re- referred into NHS to continue treatment so any knowledge or experience very welcome.

It's tricky as 13 is quite young so they will want to try the other options first.

I fought for years as a teen at my doctor's to try and get referred but gave up. Then in my 20's went back and this time a GP took me so seriously and we tried the antibiotics for a bit but he did then refer me, and roacctune was the best thing I ever did. Derm nurse I saw said it's a shame I was never referred earlier as I'm left with not very nice skin now, but thankfully spot free (aside from occasional hormonal chin spot!) since taking roacctune.

I took my son when he was 18 and horribly spotty* to an experienced consultant dermatologist, privately. She knew the only thing was Roaccutane, so put him on it straight away, despite guidance, and it was miraculous. It was expensive but luckily we could afford it.

*I am embarrassed we had done nothing earlier, as he'd had them a while. If I had my time again I'd go NHS, earlier, even if he'd had to have antibiotics first. I had antibiotics in my teens, and they worked for a while but then I had to use a different one. And so it went on.

two of my children were about 14/15 when we went privately to get roacccutune

i think dd had topical treatment first but with ds2 we went straight to the dermatologist

consultations were about £150 and the tablets themselves were expensive but the price kept changing which was confusing

cleared up their skin, both only get the occasional spot….if that

You can get it on the NHS if the antibiotics don’t work, it’s in the NICE guidelines.
