i am soooo sick of buying jeans, wearing them for a few weeks then having to chiuck them cos theyve 'gone' on the inside of the thigh..my legs are not THAT huge but the jeans i am buying are soooo soft, not proper denim more elastine or summat?(dorothy perkins range) and what with me being a childminder and having to wear things like this for practicality as well as comfort there wear down really quickly!

Anyone got any solutions?, ive searched for 'proper' denim jeans to no avail DP had them in two ytear a go and ive still got a pair now that are ok, but all ones in store now are stretchy and thin

im size 18-20 and like bootcoot stlye...anyone know of 'proper' jeans stockist in this size or what i can do to stop it(other than have liposuction on my lardy thighs

Gap any good?
I really struggle with this too, with added difficulty of waist smaller size than rear.
I got a couple of nice pairs in monsoon last year, but lost weight so now no good.

Would wearing control type pants that go down your thigh help to slough off a couple of centimetres?

ROSEgarden · 18/02/2008 15:04

TBH Maidamess, i think its 'more' to do with the amount of walking i do and the fact i wear them every day(not the same pair onv, but wear, wash and wear 5 days a week)

have not trried Gap and have the same problem re: waist1..i find the cut 'these days'(sound like a grandma) emphasises the 'muffin top' as mine now all seem very low cut on the waist meaning i crounch down and if top not long enough everyone gets some bum cleavage in their face..not nice

Dare I suggest Boden - just got these and they are pretty "stiff" although I've not washed them yet. And they are a lovely fit and cut a little higher on the waist than many, although not too high they look like 80's jobs IYSWIM.

Looks like there's a bit of a wait for them so they must be good.

For £49 theyd have to be good, i spend between £15 and £25 on mine at present(even the tougher ones i bought)..dont think i could condone £49 for work as would need a few pairs..but thanks for the link
