Hair removal and pregnancy

So - this is related to pubic hair, to be blunt. I’m fast approaching 8 months pregnant and I’ve sadly neglected things. I absolutely do not feel any woman ‘should’ change anything but I want to and the main reason is it’s actually physically uncomfortable, I’m finding some of the hairs get stuck in my legs as I sit down.

I need a wax but I can’t see to trim them down. I had a basic bikini wax last week and it was quite painful as the hairs were so long.

I’ve tried hair removal cream before and it isn’t effective and hurts me.

Has anyone got any advice?

Buy a basic bikini trimmer and ask your partner to do it? Or I’m sure you could pay a beautician who does bikini waxes to trim it for you if you don’t have a willing partner to do it.

Hmm - would they mind though? I feel a bit awkward asking, it feels like a really intimate thing to ask someone to do!

@Potaytoe honestly, many beauticians do full waxes several times a day (mine jokes about her income loss if it went out of fashion). The fact it is a bit long won’t bother her. They are professionals that have been seeing womens bits for years and know most of their clients well.

just get booked in and I’d get it done again before your expected date. Or ask your OH to trim it and get a wax nearer your due date

This.

Either that or if you have a big mirror in your house which you can lift down, prop it up on the sofa and have a go yourself.

The day I went in to be induced with my son I gave myself a DIY bikini wax. I also took quite a bit off the top as well which I was glad about in the end because I had to have an emergency C-section and it meant I didn't have to deal with hair regrowth in the early days of the incision healing.

With my daughter I took my chances and booked in for a wax at 39+4 in the hope that I wouldn't have gone into labour by then but that hopefully it wouldn't be too long afterwards.
