nice, wide leg trousers, wool prferabbly or wool mix (hangs nicer)
shirt or blouse with detail, not a t shirt
jewellery every day

That sounds a bit like you are going to the office though,is it home clothes you are after?

You sound very in proportion. Hows about a lovely dress for spring? Try Great Plains (Online) or Kew, or even Dotty P's have some nice things.

Get some half decent jeans, with some stretch in.

I am at home 3 days with very small children and at work in artsy environment 2 days.

Prior to small children I liked quite smart stuff but a bit edgy/urban-ish. I have struggled to find a casual look that I actually like.

I am not particularly in proportion the thighs and bum are a disaster zone. Its better than it was though.

Also I have never been able to work out what one earth to put on my feet in that too cold for sandals, too warm for boots bit.

Sounds like you ned to go for A line skirts or dresses, a wrap cardi to accenuate size 12 waist, funky beads or a brooch. It is still def. boot weather I think, regardless of what the shops are trying to peddle us.

You say you used to be edgy, have a look around some independent shops if you have any near you and the staff will be more than happy to pull some stuff out for you to try on. It will at least give you inspiration. Artsy makes me think of strong colours, interesting knitwear,(jigsaw and the like) and amazing jewellry. Monsoon is very well sized for the more generous of bum..have a look there.

Maidamess · 18/02/2008 16:14

No, not too officey now I've seen them, and I'm taking you shopping with me next time I go lady!

mazzystar · 18/02/2008 16:15

thank-you
hmmm, you see i'd never have thought about that top but i quite like it. might it not make the norks seem ginormous though?
and those trainers are fun and very bargainous.
not sure about the trousers, think i might like wider legs.
bit of a skirt girl at heart i think though have been living in some monsoon wide leg jeans that are about to give up the ghost.

amazingly, i have seen some really nice wide leg trousers in tesco. do you have one near you?

i find shirts much nicer than t shirts. dont know about you, but i get fed up of t shirts. most are unflattering
