Work Shoes and a bad back.....

Help me find shoes!!

My back is a bit fucked after an injury last year. Some months are worse than others and atm it's very bad!! I'm feeling every heelstrike all up my spine everytime i walk. I recently started work in a school. As a department everyone is quite smart and I'm not naturally a trainers kinda girl.

When i started and i could find nothing i liked I bought three pairs of boots for a steal from clarks (2 for one on two pairs and one 60% off) but if I'm honest they are a bit if an epic waste of money. The mid heeled pair that are gorgeous but I feel sick just looking at them. Another gorgeous properly heeled pair of clarks that actually were very wearable but have already fallen apart. Finally a flat pair of clarks that has turned out to be a bit on the casual side for work and dont work at all with a dress. They are a bit too flat but vaguely manageable with orthopaedic insoles. They are requisitioned for non work wear (which I needed anyway)

I have a very old pair of sketchers sweet peas which are fairly great and look fab with a dress. I love the memory foam and are almost perfect. they are pretty perfect. They would be absolutely perfect if they had some kind of arch support.... but mainly if they didn't have the start of a hole!!! Im wearing them anyway atm. I tried the current selection of sketchers but just look too casual and aren't really as comfy

I do love kickers kick hi and might end up getting them (my DD has a pair i sometimes borrow when shes not using them) but am aware number of the kids wear them which is putting me off...

I even looked in hotter! The court and ballets flats had no arch support or cushioning and the pair I thought might work just weren't right when I tried them on.

I feel like goldilocks!! Help me find shoes!! I need specific recommendations! I'm not anti trainer, (In fact atm the cushioning in a trainer is very very appealing) but they need to look smart with a smart dress and probably be black.

Help!!

Bollocks to that!! Just realised they actually have a dress code. No trainers

Speak with them. Given your back pain and your need for extra cushioning, a pair of smart trainers would be a reasonable accomodation.
