I've recently got them done. They've started peeling and chipping away after five days. They shouldn't do that should they?!

No, they should last longer than that. A couple of things can cause this - if the nails haven't been cleansed properly to remove oils and moisture, and if the nails haven't been 'capped' (ie the polish applied on the edges of the tips of the nails).

Do you know which brand of polish was used?

It was in a black bottle. They've chipped at the bottom. Not near the top

You do need to look after the nails - no opening cans, careful with jewellery clasps, no cleaning without wearing gloves (same goes for washing up).

But it's odd that it happened at the bottom. Maybe the cuticle was not tidied up properly. They should last 2-3 weeks with proper application and care.

They're peeling away at the bottom. So I lost a bit as I washing my hair and the hair got caught underneath where it had grown a bit and it came off.

sounds like the nail tech didn’t prep your nails properly, they should have pushed back your cuticles, and done a full dry manicure with an e file to file off any residual dead skin on the nail plate… this is why I do my own, much easier to make sure they’re prepped properly

I'm pretty annoyed as they wasn't cheap. I'll just use normal polish from now on
