Seasalt

Since M&S have started selling Seasalt clothing I have been able to see for myself - the quality and styles etc etc.
I bought a dress in December which looks as good as new. I went there today for children's clothes but when I saw the summer stuff I could not resist trying a few things on.
I bought two summer dresses. They are so nice and stylish and I can't wait to wear them. You know, I always thought their stuff was frumpy and sort of middle aged but I was wrong. Granted some things are a funny shape but the dresses today were all lovely

I love Seasalt as their clothes are so flattering, comfortable, well made and eye catching; but then again I am middle aged so am the core demographic. 😀

Do they do fat face sort of clothes?

LadyWiddiothethird · 03/05/2023 17:16

Seasalt have an excellent Ebay shop.

hattie43 · 03/05/2023 17:17

I buy a lot from Seasalt but find they either have everything I love or nothing .

BreakfastOfWaffles · 03/05/2023 17:19

I like their coats and scarves. Their colours can be a bit muted for me, but the quality is a lot better than lots of places these days.

Flockameanie · 03/05/2023 17:28

Their stuff is pretty frumpy! I just sold two pairs of trousers that I loved when I got them a year ago, but every time I put them on they made me feel sad and unstylish. I think quality is mostly good but can be hit and miss. My sailor shirts looked rag-like after a few months. Also the arms aren’t long enough (on the full-length versions) Their coats are over-hyped (on here) and not all they’re cracked up to be - cost a fortune and mine leaked after a few years. I subsequently bought a Helly Hansen long coat that is amazingly waterproof and I always get compliments on when I wear it.

That said, I have a pair of their denim dungarees that are the best thing ever and I’d wear everyday if I could get away with it!

Yes similar. Also similar to White Stuff and Boden too.

Quality is similar as well and in similar price band. Aimed at ages late 20s upwards I'd say, the raising family stages if you like or for those comfortable in themselves and not looking to pull or trying to be sexy.

Comefromaway · 03/05/2023 18:07

I’m fairly small in height and I find that certain styles and lengths of their dresses look fantastic on me but others make me look like a sack of spuds.

I love the three quarter sleeve top I have though. Hides everything I need to hide and emphasises the good bits.

Babyroobs · 03/05/2023 18:13

I've recently discovered Seasalt and love everything I've bought - mostly sale stuff as I can't afford their normal prices. I like the tunic tops . Some stuff is frumpy but I've only bought tops and tunics so far and a lovely fleecey jacket which proved great for winter dog walks.

vestedinterests · 03/05/2023 18:21

I love seasalt. Most of my knitwear and pj's come from there. I also have a few summer dresses and a couple of rain coats (including Janelle for dog walking) however I can't get on with their trousers. Just sold a pair on vinted and I think I will have to bin the other pair as despite only being worn no more than 5 times they faded terribly in the wash and can't see anyone would be interested in them

Mrsherdwick · 04/05/2023 16:14

I love Seasalt and have loads of their dresses etc. I feel it’s really unfair however that the shops don’t stock their petite range. You always have to order online.

I think Seasalt is much better quality that Fatface or White Stuff.

Seasalt have an excellent Ebay shop.

This. I often buy from there now and often get 30-60% off the original price. You just have to buy out of season a bit.

I always buy out of season anyway so that sounds good to me I will have a look

User5438790 · 04/05/2023 18:43

I buy in the sale, Next Clearance and the eBay shop and have got some good things, Next Clearance is often a bit cheaper than the Seasalt sale. I'm 5'10" and like that they do a taller range.

TheyBrokeMeToday · 04/05/2023 19:40

I love Seasalt! Their knitwear is fab, and though I tend to avoid the patterned tops I do have trousers, jackets, coats, boots, sailor tops and dresses. I like to think it's classic rather than dated, and I can funk it up with accessories if I want to..I've always had a lot of compliments on my style, but who knows if they are genuine?

redspottedmug · 05/05/2023 08:00

Love my pottering gowns.
Linen culottes
Larissa shirts (size up)
Knitwear
Leach Pottery mugs

Loyalty card is good, although if you buy on line you have to go into a shop within a month to add your stamp.
