A scalp treatment shampoo that truly stops dandruff flaking?

DH has very short hair and a sore scalp, pale pink and flaky in places. We’ve tried so many shampoos but they do not stop flaked falling onto his shoulders and he is so self conscious at work. Has anyone got anything that really works? Head and Shoulders did a clinical ‘Scalp Relief’ one which was great but they have stopped selling it. Please help!

Coming back to say - has only just finished the Nizoral 60ml pink treatment bottle, that’s how long it lasts. And then he uses clear T-Gel on other days.

His scalp is absolutely fantastic now and the dandruff hasn’t returned. I can’t tell you how much this has increased his self-confidence as for years and years it used to be so bad (and he has to wear dark coloured uniform at work so you can imagine what it was like).

I am very glad OP’s DH has solved his problem. I am actually here because DH, like @Thingamebobwotsit , solved a similar problem with the Philip Kingsley antidandruff shampoo, tonic and conditioner.

It is hilarious because he’s always bought the cheapest toiletries from the grocery store; then he tried a couple of treatment shampoos that didn’t work or turned his hair to straw. The PK leaves it beautifully soft, not that anyone but me cares. And his scalp is lovely also. BTW he hasn’t actually ordered the conditioner yet: a generously sized tube has been thrown in as a bonus both times he has ordered.

I was lucky enough to try Hairetic which comes in and out of stock. Keep an eye on their website, it is much more natural than the normal brands and worked for my scalp.

Head and shoulders scalp serum is amazing. Look for a shampoo with selenium in it.
