Anyone had a radiofrequency treatment?

Just wondering if anyone has had a radio frequency treatment and if so, what your results were like? I'm considering having a treatment done but have heard mixed reviews, I'll have a consultation of course but don't want to waste money on something that may not have any benefit

What sort of results are you hoping for? I would say to only expect a mild to moderate result, if even that. I had Ultherapy a few years ago - it was expensive, painful and my face swelled up for about a week after. The results were underwhelming.

Although to be fair, I don't have any jowls or anything so maybe it has delayed them somewhat as I was told it was good as a preventative measure or for maintenance. But if your issues are severe laxity, then RF isn't really going to do much I'm afraid.

My skin is quite good and I don't have jowls or anything like that, I heard it was a good treatment for the texture of the skin, going to book a consultation as I've heard a lot of mixed reviews

I had a terrible experience with Ultherapy. It left me looking gaunt - the exact opposite of what I had hoped for. Wasn’t imagining this either, afterwards several people asked me if I’d lost weight (I hadn’t) or if I was ill.
In the subsequent years I’ve regained some of the volume lost but one side of my face is noticeably fuller than the other. For me personally it was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made.

OP if your concern is skin texture, you would be better off with either a chemical peel or some laser resurfacing.
Both of these have some down time of a few days of redness or peeling, but the results are usually pretty good.

I had rf and microneedling having seen the results on Judy Murray. Only had one treatment but saw no difference at all. And it cost £400. To be fair you are meant to have three so not sure if improvement would have been seen after more. I’m unconvinced though as I’d have expected improvement. There are risks with it as some people do experience permanent fat loss with it. My concerns were around the health risks of the radiation. I’m not sure that the risks have been fully explored with these machines albeit I think some are FDA cleared. I still wonder how it can be any good for you. I’m using adipeau cream at the moment which is well researched and seen an improvement in rewriting fat to your face very sucky. It’s a moisturising cream. This video persuaded me to give it a go

That guy is clearly just flogging his face cream. I've seen this video before, he tries to claim that retinol is bad for us as it means we lose facial fat (it doesn't), and somehow his product restores it.

Also his website looks a bit dodgy, very little about the actual ingredients and he links to some scientific studies that say little or nothing about his actual product.
