Has anyone had success with skin boosters....like Mesotherapy or Profhilo?

Just wondering if these are worth the money - they are skin boosters that don't last in the skin (unlike fillers) and are meant to help stimulate collagen, help with fine lines (crows feet especially) and give vitamins/minerals to the skin. Course of 3 recommended, but can work out expensive. Too scared to DIY it :-) although many do!! Thanks!

I haven't tried these - but interested in responses! I have been doing some hydro facials which have really improved the overall quality of my skin . definitely "firmed' it up and helped with some of the lines. I did a course of these, and now do one a month - not cheap though!

I’ve had jalupro and sunekos - I noticed a real glow after jalupro course last sept which lasted about 6m, and have just had the second course of sunekos 2 weeks ago so should see the end result in a couple of weeks; so far there’s a noticeable difference already so am looking forward to the full effect 😃.

I had Profhilo a few years ago and liked it. I felt it just made me look a bit fresher.

I’m looking at either doing that again or something else now so interested in replies.

I'm booked in for BB Glow in a few weeks. I haven't tried it before but a few acquaintances have and I like their results

Gymnopedie · 28/04/2023 14:16

I had Profhilo about six months ago. It's completely gone but even a couple of weeks after, it had made only the tiniest difference that I don't think anyone else would have noticed. For me, not worth what it cost.

I was going to ask this question myself. I heard great things about Profilo, but it doesn't get good reviews on here and for the price, I don't want to risk it.

@iwantavuvezela I was booked in for a consultation for a hydrafacial, but was told I should just start with a mild peel, but in all honesty, I didn't rate it much higher than the Ordinary peeling solution. Firmness is definitely something I want to work on! Once a month sounds like a huge financial commitment though! Is that the recommended frequency? Do you have any before and afters by any chance?

I've had profhilo a few times and it's like a really good moisturiser. You more notice when it's gone rather than when you have it.
Don't get it if you're expecting to notice a difference. That's what Botox and fillers are for.

pharmachameleon · 28/04/2023 15:34

I think Profhilo might work best if you have crepey skin. I've had it twice and would say the difference is really minimal and not worth the money (I don't have crepey skin).

iwantavuvezela · 28/04/2023 17:25

@Rubarbara no photos as such, but when I look at my skin now - and zoom in to old photos I can see a difference - I've also had some comments such as "your'e looking really well" so I think it must have made a difference! I did 6 initially over a course of 6-7 weeks if I remember correctly and now I do one a month to top up.

Some people seem to speak quite highly of micro needling? So that might be something to look into

I've had Seventy Hyal skin booster and was really happy with the results so personally I would recommend them! My aesthetician also mentioned that she is going to start offering polynucleotide treatments and the before and afters I've seen have been amazing. There isn't much info about them yet but I did find this helpful polynucleotide blog, definitely a treatment to keep an eye out for!

What Are Polynucleotides: The Ingredients Guide | Fox Pharma

The buzzword in the aesthetics industry is polynucleotides, but what are polynucleotides and how do they help the skin?

I asked a few clinics about treatments for lifting and firming...one said the Profhilo is pushed because it doesn't involve outlay by the clinics. He said it works on dry skin but I probably wouldn't notice a difference as my skin is pretty decent. I had radio frequency...it gives a fresh look and may face looks softer but more lifted...

I am about to do the Sunekos one.

The woman who does my Botox said she thinks this is better than the other products she uses as it's more targeted. The before and after photos look good. (She is a GP and does the aesthetic stuff part time)

Be great to hear from anyone who has had it.

CareerChange24 · 28/10/2024 19:23

I’ve had Profhilo and I honestly couldn’t tell a difference. The Queen of skin caroline Hirons said she couldn’t tell either.

Can anyone recommend any lasers of preventative treatments for someone mid 30’s? With proven success themselves
