Please help me with holiday clothes, I have no sense of style whatsoever!

So off on our first family holiday abroad in July to Lake Garda. I have zero, and I mean zero summer clothes as the ones I had had for years were full of holes by the end of last summer. I have never had a sense of style and lack confidence when it comes to clothes. However I really want to look nicer.

I am tall (177cm) and a size 12. Have very large breasts (G cup) and wide hips. Basically hourglass figure. I find my breasts an absolute nightmare to dress, everything looks frumpy. I don’t like tight fitting clothes.

if anyone is able to point me in the direction of clothes that will suit my figure and be suitable for Italy in the middle of summer I would be so grateful.

Look for V necks which are flattering to a large bust.

Flowing linen and cotton dresses, bring a tan belt and a black one, and use it to define your waist.

Massive hats are fabulous.

A linen shirt to protect from the sun.

Sandals

Bring a few accessories to dress up a plain dress and go out to dinner.

Don't assume it will be hot the whole time, bring some layers as well.

This is definitely what I am going for! I love how a big sun hat instantly makes me look more sophisticated 😂

That is a lovely dress Chris and on sale!

For basic neutral tops I was thinking these

I have a longer than average torso. I looked at the normal length ones but the model is 7cm shorter than me (and as my torso makes up so much of my height it will probably be more than 7cm shorter on me).

Relaxed Longline T-Shirt | M&S Collection | M&S

This t-shirt is a classic wardrobe staple. It's designed in a comfy relaxed fit with a longline shape for extra coverage. A v-neck offers an elegant finish. M&S Collection: easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that combine classic and contemporary styles.

I hate having to wear sleeves in the summer but on sleeveless tops and dresses I find that the armholes are a problem for larger busts. Some manufacturers seem to think that the larger the dress the bigger the armholes should be. I try the larger size to accommodate my boobs and find you can see most of my bra.
Looked at all of the suggestions here and must say you’ve all come up with some really stylish clothes, and OP, I’m going to buy a large floppy hat!

For someone like you, you may want to opt for flowy dresses or skirts made from lightweight materials such as cotton or linen. These will keep you cool in the summer heat while also allowing for movement and comfort. In terms of tops, consider loose-fitting blouses or t-shirts paired with high-waisted shorts or trousers. This style not only flatters wider hips but also elongates the legs to balance out your height. Avoid anything too tight-fitting as this can be uncomfortable in hot temperatures. When it comes to swimwear, choose styles that provide good support for your bust such as underwire bikinis or one-piece swimsuits with built-in bras. Look for designs that highlight your best features such as plunging necklines or cut-out details on the sides.

I went to Italy last summer. Am not quite as tall as you but am an E cup and size 14. I wore sleeveless tops- with kimono shirts sometimes, shorts, skorts, linen trousers and loose cotton midi dresses.

I’ve just bought lovely v neck long sleeveless linen/silk dresses from M&S Jaeger ( via EBay) I am short and slightly rotund biggish bust - but they are fabulous loose but cut on the bias so drape perfectly - adding 2 silk scarves and chain necklace and off I go to Beaumaris ( Y Sosban) 👍🏿☘️ Good luck with your shopping

Hourglass is the shape to be right now. There is a lovely emphasis on the waist. Even Cos have a couple of waisted items. For holidays, Nothing beats a T-shirt dress, go long, sleeveless and quite fitted with a scoop neck. And a big hat. Everyone will envy you

That's lovely.

Mollie Campsie has done a really good Free People holiday try on in her stories today, it might be worth a look for some inspiration. She's tall and curvy.

Personally I’d stay clear of M&S T-shirts. They lose their shape really quickly in my experience, going really saggy on the neck and getting shorter and wider after just a couple of washes. Cos and Arket cost a bit more but are massively better quality.

Please help, I’ve spent so long shopping for summer holiday dresses getting nowhere, and feeling worse and worse about myself! Any ideas??

My boobs are too small for a 10, and my tummy’s too rounded for an 8! I’m like a small apple shape 😬 I’m 5ft5 with a petite bone structure, so when I stress eat ice cream it has no where to hide but my ‘4 months pregnant’ looking tummy - and post breastfeeding my 30C/32B boobs are like 2 sad, deflated balloons. Having said that, I am still only 35 and I just wanted to look nice for once!

Honestly I must have looked at most dresses on the internet and I’ve got my head in a right tizz about it. I’ve even wondered about a tummy tuck for a very brief moment. Thought vinted might be the answer so I got 3 bargain Reiss/Ted Baker dresses but they don’t fit and now I’m stuck with them, doh.

We’re heading to Eurocamp in France and later in the summer hopefully Greece so will need slightly smarter clothes for the evenings.

Please can anyone make clothing suggestions, or how to deal with feeling crap about myself? Thanks ladies!
