Would love for people to recommend their favourite shops/websites for breastfeeding friendly tops and dresses.

I’ve just been wearing oversized jumpers up until now and it’s getting a bit hot for that!

thanks in advance ☺️

I bought so much from Isabella Oliver. You can wash it and wash it and the condition is just excellent ... but it was a few years ago now, six! I also bought work clothes, i resold some that I didn't wear. I found the envelope style access really great.

Anyfeckinusername · 27/04/2023 12:50

They used to have lots of "easy access" dresses and also strap tops. Honestly they were great basics.

Oooh thank you! I will have a look ☺️☺️

I spent a fortune on breastfeeding clothes with my first. Then discovered that I could just wear a slightly oversized strappy vest top under normal clothes. Pull up the outer top and pull the vest down, easy access and plenty of coverage

RampantIvy · 27/04/2023 13:49

I just wore jeans and shirts. I didn't buy special clothes.

Snugglemonkey · 27/04/2023 13:56

I have a few nice dresses from frugi and JoJo maman. I do often just wear normal tops with a vest under, but find dresses that are bf friendly are trickier to find.

Bunnywabbity · 27/04/2023 13:58

Hennes. And i got a few smarter dresses from Mamas and Papas

LBB2020 · 27/04/2023 15:46

I wore a lot of shirt dresses the first spring/summer after my little one was born. Seraphine also have some nice clothes and often have sales/discounts

BaggyJumperandLeggings · 27/04/2023 16:13

Thank you all!!
After doing some research, some prices are a bit eye-watering so might just stick to baggy tops/shirts!

@BaggyJumperandLeggings there's a really good Facebook group called ' Can I breastfeed in it?' which will give you so much inspiration.

The b-shirt t shirts are good; also milky tee Co, H&M, Natal Active and Cadenshae. The latter two are sportswear-leaning but they do good casual tops and often have special offers if you sign up to their mailing lists.

I know some of this stuff seems a waste of money but I found them really useful over 16 months and 19 months respectively of bf 2 DC so it may work out to be worth it depending on what you plan to do. I know everyone say just wear 2 tops but I never liked doing that!

eBay and vinted are a good idea. I put all mine on eBay after my first. Also, frugi do very good sales.

Second for the b shirt - get a vest layer under (nearly) anything and it becomes a bf friendly outfit. Also seraphine maternity - all of their clothes are designed to be worn post pregnancy too, are v flattering and have great and often discreet bf access/panels.

alpinia · 27/04/2023 17:30

Adding to the b-shirt recommendations. I just used one of their vests and it made everything breastfeeding friendly. They also washed well and didn't look too matronly.

BaggyJumperandLeggings · 27/04/2023 17:44

I’ve not heard of a lot of these brands - thank you! ☺️

I've had a load of bits off shein. They've actually been brilliant. I've got several of the breastfeeding vest tops and some of their long sleeve ones aswell. Definitely recommend them.
Also just some vest tops that I pull down from H&M or Primark.
Same with dresses, I buy from anywhere and just see if they have good access 🤣

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 27/04/2023 17:55

I bought my SIL:-

tunic style light tops (chiffon/sheer with a print, eg Zara snake from 5 years ago) and Top Shop blouses (mostly in sales). Easy to pull up and down or unbutton and she wore the blouses to work.

SIL did have some Isabelle Oliver and Seraphine breastfeeding clothes but said she preferred these ones!

OM82 · 27/04/2023 20:55

Another b shirt recommendation, I've been using mine for 18 months now (have 4, and basically don't ever wear anything else!) and they are still in great condition.

newmumtotwo24 · 27/04/2023 21:14

B shirts here too. So easy to use. Then I just bought some dresses/shirts/jumpsuits that buttoned down. So not feeding specific and would still wear them after I've finished bf

The IO stuff is a bit expensive.I should have warned you!

H&M had an online maternity range too.
