Uneven botox…

So I had Botox. 11s area and forehead. 11s was to balance the forehead apparently, I didn’t really have any lines there.

It gave me a slightly accentuated arch on both sides (I didn’t mind so much tbh!) and at the 2 week review she added a little more above the eyebrows. Now one eyebrow has barely any movement at all but the other is much more mobile. Not massively obvious but should I go back or just wait for it to wear off?

To me, it feels like it looks a bit heavy, is this normal? Nobody has noticed, or if they have they’ve not said anything so maybe just me?!

It’s called spocking and yes it can happen. I’ve started getting this same issue. I usually go back and get a little more in the higher eyebrow and it works but last two times it made no difference having more put in. It’s worth a try though. Definitely go back

Thanks, I’ll go back. I feel quite lopsided at the moment.

I was just contemplating Botox for the first time so this is interesting. I usually only see posts from people saying how marvellous it is!

OP do you mind me asking how much it was?
A place near us is saying £160 for one area. I’m only after one place as I have a deep line, so a 1 rather than 11’s. It’s a lot of money if I’m not going to be happy.
When they topped it up did you have to pay more even though they were correcting?

Kicking how long have you been getting Botox? And roughly how often to you have to have it re done?
TIA.

@Sixfaithfulservingfriends I have been thinking about it for a few years and finally went for it. I have a very expressive face and no 11s, but I have forehead creases, which is what I went for (one area). Was told I would need between the eyes too to stop it looking weird. Two areas was 200. The top up was free (but has left me lopsided…).

Honestly, for me it’s not something I’m in love with. I don’t look fresher, which is what I wanted. But maybe with 11s it’d be a better outcome. I don’t look “angry” normally, just knackered.

Sounds disappointing for you.
I do look angry! It would be nice to look approachable for a change.
I hope they can even yours out for you.

@Sixfaithfulservingfriends I’ve been getting it since I was about 31 and I’m turning 39 this year. I have it about three times a year. I don’t have any static lines or 11s just crows feet really but I have the three areas done for a general lifted effect. It’s only been the last year I’ve started having issues with one eyebrow not behaving itself . You don’t pay for top ups or corrections or at least I never have. I pay £270 for three areas with a nurse practitioner

Sixfaithfulservingfriends · 27/04/2023 17:43

it’s a nurse practitioner who works at the place I’m looking at. It’s good to know you’ve had it for a few years and been happy with it, although must be annoying for you to now start having an issue. Glad to hear I wouldn’t be expected to pay for resolving any issue. Prices are similar so seems to be pretty average. Thanks for the info.

dancerdog · 28/04/2023 17:49

Oh my goodness, the price I have been given for one area is £270, the 11s) with the £50 consultation fee taken off that, so £220. This was at a SK:N clinic.
I've been mulling over whether to go for the appointment or not, as am terrified that it will go wrong. I might look around at other places.
