Wedding with newborn

Style has never been my strong point. I am due to go to a wedding a couple of weeks after I will have given birth. I've put on loads and loads of weight and know that I will be looking decidedly "post natal". Does anyone have any suggestions for an outfit to look my best? My usual ideas of wrap dresses or empire lines won't work because I will hopefully be bf. I also usually live in black but that seems inappropriate for a wedding too.

Thanks!

That's a tricky one. But you can hide multitude of sins with a nice jacket over the top. Tip - take at least one change of clothes. Baby is almost guaranteed to posset on you if you don't!

I did this with 2 week old baby. I wore a patterned skirt to hide any baby related stains and disguise fat arse, and a dark wrap cardigan for easy nork access (both from Monsoon ie. standard wedding outfitters!). Heels helped to make me feel slimmer even if I didn't look it!
DS slept through the whole thing, it was great.

Bump as I'm hoping to head to a wedding a couple of weeks after the baby's born too. So far I've been woried about travel logistics but now I'm thinking about wtf I'm going to wear

Thanks! I will try Monsoon. I hadn't even thought of a change of clothes - obvious really!

wrap dress can be very successful if you wear a vest underneath - hitch vest up and dress down to feed.

Saying that I wore a trous suit with a blouse and camisole (same deal, camisole goes up, blouse unbuttons) which worked well

Oh, that would be much better. I'll practise discreetly at home! Thank you.
