Just caught sight of my hands in sunlight, they look like the belong to a much older person!

What can I use to help their appearance? I do use hand cream, mostly at night before bed because I hate the feeling of it on my palms

A bit of urea cream but be careful because it makes my skin delicate especially around my nails. I think mine is too strong ….I think Eucerin do a 3 percent urea cream

Also, if you wash them a lot, get yourself a box of vinyl gloves from Amazon and keep them on while you’re cooking and doing chores…then you can just wash your hands with the gloves on. Put the gloves on first then pull them down and put moisturiser on the backs of your hands…otherwise it’s hard to get the gloves on! Mine are a bit better but I keep forgetting to put the gloves on!

Thank you. They're so much worse than the picture shows. I'll have a look for urea moisturiser

Nursem hand cream has been of huge benefit to my horrible hands.
The smell is slightly off-putting but I think they do an unscented version.
It's not cheap but you need a tiny bit each time.
It was developed for nurses who are constantly hand-washing and forms a barrier on the skin.

Flexitol hand balm- I have it prescribed but you can get it from Amazon and it’s a great cream with urea. Only thing that works for me

I was thinking the exact same thing this morning OP (about my hands, not yours!). They look like the hands of someone 20 yrs older than me

Make sure you're using sunscreen on them daily, it will help prevent future sun damage which will make them look worse.

An old school favourite , Atrixo My mum always had a tub of this by the kitchen sink and my daughter and I do too.

Are you drinking enough water? My hands get like this when I’m dehydrated. You can’t beat o’keefes working hands! Cheap, cheerful and excellent.

I found that using a hand scrub and then moisturising, really improved the backs of my hands. I used the L'Occitane hand scrub... it's a bit pricey but lasts a while.

What a difference in a week. I won't pretend I've been using this everyday, still hate the feeling of hand cream, but my hands look less craggy and awful. Hopefully it continues to improve
