Have bought one of those hairpiece scrunchy things. Best thing I ever did!

My hair is fine and thin and prone to being a bit curly and, well, crap bascially. But with my new hairpiece - wow!! Everyone keeps commenting on how great my hair looks. It's boosted my confidence no end. Would recommend them to anyone. Will be buying another before too long.

Can you link to a picture - don't know what you mean.

brimfull · 16/02/2008 16:00

cornsilk · 16/02/2008 16:01

lol at Terry Wogan! iS Amy Winehouse's hair a hairpiece I wonder? It certainly looks like one.

MAMAZON · 16/02/2008 16:03

you mean a hairband that has long hair attached?

TurkeyLurkey · 16/02/2008 16:04

Do you mean one of those scrunchies you use for tieing up ponytails that look like real hair? I've mused over those before but never bought one...

go · 16/02/2008 17:24

I'll try to do a link ...

This is the one I have, but in dark brown. My mum has just bought a blonde one (her hair is greyish, but has blonde highlights) and it looks fantastic!

Ooooh where did you buy it from? That site is US, I want one!

themoon66 · 16/02/2008 17:39

They look wonderful. Did you buy on-line? If so, how did you manage to chose the correct colour?

BroccoliSpears · 16/02/2008 17:55

Oh I need one of those.

BroccoliSpears · 16/02/2008 18:12

I can't decide between this which is so cheap it doesn't matter if it's rubbish / not the right colour, or this which might stand a better chance of looking realistic, but costs more.

go · 16/02/2008 18:26

I bought mine from Debenhams - you can try them on and there was a very helpful lady to put it on for me (Norwich branch). Even if you go in and find your colour match, you could probably then buy cheaper online. Not sure if buying a cheap one would be as good, I expect it depends how good a match the colour is.

It's a gorgeous colour califrau! You could probably go for a blonde shade, which would blend in. My mum bought one and her hair is mid brown/grey, with blonde highlights. She said she was going to get one and I thought she'd never find one to match. But she did - a very pale blonde one was fine, so well worth having a look I'd say.
