Eye wrinkles

Hi skincare experts!

I've always looked quite young for my age but recently I've noticed my skin is very wrinkly around my eyes. I'm not so bothered about the lines which go out to the sides when I smile but the lines starting to appear under my eyes seem very ageing.

Is there any product that will help with these, or do I need to go for a more radical treatment (and if so what?) or just accept that ageing is inevitable?

I am 37 and the rest of my face is pretty smooth.

Thanks.

Crikey! 37? Is that sun damage, or working outdoors. It seems quite bad for your age. I'm two years older and don't have any lines.
Sorry to be rude, I do think it can be reversed drastically!

Botox might help the most, in fact I'm sure it will. I'd go for a consultation. Also do usual things such as hydration, sleep. SPF (!) a good skincare regime. Perhaps look at retin a for long term help.

I wear SPF every day and already have a good skincare routine.

Can't use retinol products at the moment and sleep is hard to come by because I have a small baby and am breastfeeding.

I look like this when I am not smiling. But I don't want to just not smile.

There are some things that will help with the appearance of fine lines. Drinking more water, hyaluronic acid, ahas like glycolic acid (I'm not sure if you can use these whilst breastfeeding?).

The things that will make any real difference though are Botox or retinoids.

Ah, it's fine when not smiling. I see what you mean.

That really leaves botox, which will work, and also help delay those dynamic lines from becoming more permanent, but I'm not sure whether you can have that while breastfeeding.

Eye wrinkles – they're a part of life, but that doesn't mean we have to accept them lying down (or should I say, frowning!). While I'm all for embracing natural beauty, a little TLC never hurt anyone.

I've been reading about Argireline as a more natural alternative to Botox, and I'm curious if any of you have experience with it. It seems like it might be a good option for someone who wants to soften the appearance of wrinkles without going the full injection route.

Personally, I'm a big believer in preventative care. A good skincare routine, sunglasses on sunny days, and plenty of water can go a long way in keeping those wrinkles at bay. But hey, if there's a safe and natural way to give them a little extra help, I'm all for it!
