Swimsuit for big boobs and size 18

I’m the proud owner of a pair of 36Gs so I really need a swimsuit with the requisite engineering to hold them up. I have a speedo one for exercise but I want something pretty for a holiday. Everything I try in the right boob size is far too tight in the body. I’ve tried all sorts of brands to hold up my knockers (from Bravissimo, Fantasie, Figleaves, Freya, etc) but can’t get them over my arse. Or I have found perfectly nice size 18 suits that fit my body but my boobs either burst out of the top if they are wired or sag to my waist if they aren’t. I must be be doing something wrong, designers surely can’t assume that a 36G is also a size 12? Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have just bought a Curvy Kate one in a lovely olive colour. It fits well and I feel well supported in it, I think it was about £50

I wear a 34 g/gg and buy a lot at Bra Stop.

@Notellinganyone i know 😂I only discovered it after doing a Triathlon wearing a sports bra under my costume and realised it was comfy and absolutely fine. I regularly wear a bog standard M&S bra under a normal costume now and swim a mile in the pool no problem. It’s a cheaper no brainer to me. Hope it works for you

Sorry I didn't see this. Quite true to size I'd say. I'd tend to size up but it depends how you want them to fit.

@Cinnamonandcoal thank you. I sized up on the top and went for the 16 bottoms. Hopefully they fit. 🤞

Fantastic! I’m off to have a nose at some of these options. I’m not the biggest fan of tankinis as I find they ride up and draw the world’s attention to my menopausal belly, and can’t entertain bikinis for the same reason. I’m willing to put a few quid into this purchase for something that actually fits as I have a wardrobe full of swimsuits that I have worn once or twice. But I am interested in the Tesco discovery too. That could resolve a lot of stress.

@ratonastick, you need to go on holiday with my DDs (all late teens/ early 20s). I am large of nork and a size 16 post-menopausal belly. They got me into a Pour Moi bikini this year as their attitude is very much 'fuck 'em all, Mum, we think you look fantastic '. It's amazing the confidence they give me!

Maybe size up to a 20 if the 18s aren’t fitting well? A swimsuit is a funny item because it has to fit all parts of your body. Don’t be put off by what the label says.

I’m an 18 but always size up in jeans because for some reason I can’t get a good fit in them.

I have the same issue. I wear a Slazenger costume from Sports direct. It's the only thing I can fit into. And I'm not paying £70 in bravissimo
