Need wedding shoes, bad bunions

I need something with a heel for my daughter’s wedding. I’ll build the outfit around the shoes I am so desperate. What do other people wear? I’ll also need something less formal but still a bit of a heel for the second day. In Ireland also which doesn’t help.

So you're looking for wide fit shoes and possibly need to get a shoe stretcher so you can push out the shoe further in the area you need the extra space for comfort.

Asos do wide fit shoes. Would something like this work. It's a fabric top so could be stretched.

Worth looking at Sole Bliss shoes and sandals as they are specially designed for wide feet and/or bunions.

Well the ASOS ones were a no go, didn’t go near me. The callas and sole bliss are very expensive and then I’d have to add customs on top. Has anyone with bad bunions tried them before I buy? Cannot afford a mistake.

Have you looked at Gabor? I find them to be good for bunions. Would something like this work? You might like this at John Lewis:

Or Esska?

I have awful bunions and I’ve bought from Sole Bliss before. Not heels, but the navy pumps. They are amazing, way way more comfortable than anything else I have (save for some sandals and trainers).

Sole Bliss are the comfiest shoes ever, worth paying for

I generally find heels difficult because of my bunion but I've got some Clarks wide fit which are surprisingly OK for a special occasion. I don't have this pair but I have similar and it works in spite of the pointed toe because there's enough space at the toe joint. https://www.clarks.co.uk/c/Violet-55-Rae/p/26171859

I have bunions and always go for a flat shoe now or I end up in agony.

I have been tempted by the calla shoes before though but never taken the plunge.

NeedingCoffee · 26/04/2023 20:32

Defo Calla or Sargasso & Grey. The best shoes ever for bunions or wide feet.

eosmum · 26/04/2023 21:15

Wow many thanks everyone. I’ll give the sole bliss ones a go. I’m so short and round that I need a heel to make me look and feel good with a dress for a wedding. I’ll look at the other links also but if the sole bliss ones are so good I’ll take the chance.
