Help - need wardrobe update, dont know where to shop anymore!

After being pregnant, and baby now 9 months, my wardrobe is woefully inadequate, for work and generally going out. Havnt really bought anything for about 2 years and beginning to feel the need to dress (nicely) again.

I figure I need

A good pair of jeans
about 3-4 shirts/blouses
2 skirts (I suit A line)
good pair of trousers (black, or suitable for work, smart etc)

I just dont know where to go, time limited. I am a size ten, 5.8 and in reasonable nick!

Could anyone who has been in and out of the shops please help me. I went to selfridges in london for jeans but became overwhelmed by the choice. I would also really love a pair of really good fitting other pants that would last in my wardrobe. I work at a university part time so I dont have to be overly smart but need a few key items.

Any help greatly appreciated

Gap for jeans, worth looking at for skirts and trous
Pink or Lewins for shirts
I find trousers v hard, also skirts. Kew is worth trying for a-lines though.
