Im having chemo. All I did was leave the car yesterday walked five minutes to the wig shop and then to a charity shop. I was put with spf on and today Im burnt arms face and chest. I was covered in cream. Expensive stuff from Space NK for skiing. It doesnt hurt its so weird but Im so red.

im going to Glastonbury towards the end of it so any recommendations on clothes that will cover me but look ok. Im guessing night time will be party time so i will dress up. Should I get one of them Australin hats ala Nicole Kidman for the day? They are £100 and odd quid! Any hell would be appreciated as its my must look forward event of the year at 55. I will not miss it we are extra glamping this year!

Hi OP, I'm sorry you're having to deal with chemo but you sound like you are in good spirits looking forward to Glastonbury which is great! Given your skin will be a bit more sensitive to sun damage because of chemo, you'd be best to have an arsenal of stuff.

I'm not sure from your post and title if you are looking for SPF makeup (as in make up with sun protection in it) or both sunscreen and make up. Sorry.
Anyway, I always find La Roche Posay are pretty good for sun protection - they do SPF 50 which I would recommend.

So you could apply a generous amount of cream or lotion sunscreen in the morning, and then get a top up spray like this to use during the day:

https://www.boots.com/garnier-ambre-solaire-spf-50-invisible-protect-mist-spray-200ml-10323716
I would always use a cream to start with for sun protection as a spray wont guarantee you cover every bit of exposed skin, but they sprays are good to have with you for a top up.

If you are looking for some sort of make up with SPF, I know some foundations tend to have a rating on them, but in reality you would need to use a ridiculous amount to get the stated SPF protection on the bottle, so it's better to use a standalone sunscream under your make up. Or you could try topping up your powder during the day with something like this:

I use this in summer to put on my face during the day, it means I can keep my sun protection topped up without messing up my make up. It is expensive, but lasts for a while as you don't need to use a huge amount.

Also you could try using some sort of lip protection with SPF, I know Nivea do cheap lip balms that are about SPF 15, but last summer I got a few of these in different flavours and they are nice, not too sticky and handy to carry in your bag:

You could also try wearing a wide brim or floppy hat to give your head a bit of extra protection, could look very chic!

Hope that helps.

My DD has super sensitive skin wears ultrasun 50 (not the kids one that's too thick).

If she uses anything else, including foundation etc she gets bright red reaction everywhere.

I am going to start using it too.

I used Altruist f50 yesterday and was itching all day on my face and woke up with lumps on my face so that's going in the bin!

Yes and i find spf in foundations too cakey . I would lije some nice lip glosses with some actual colour though.

Hi I've been using Revolution Skin shimmer Sun Protect face cream spf50 in a yellow tube from Debenhams online, has some colour like bb cream & a little shimmer as the label says. It was £7 when I bought it.
May be available in other places.

Hi OP, I am so sorry to hear you are going through treatment. My husband has vitiligo so burns incredibly easily. I think we have been through pretty much everything. The best we have found is ultrasun face 50. Let that sink in first, then you can apply their tinted version instead of foundation. I would follow this with a spray for top ups (La Roche Posay). Sunglasses and perhaps a cap?
