Over 50s, peri menopausal face cream for wrinkles

Over the last couple of years my skin has significantly deteriorated. For decades I had much younger looking skin than my age, nice and smooth. (albeit stretched over quite a fat face)

Peri menopause hit and now Im looking more withered by the day over the past few years. In addition I am now losing weight very fast and will continue to do so for another 6 months or so and now look 80 odd!!!

So I need to get some serious stuff. I have got some hyaluronic acid stuff from Aldi or Lidl, not sure which one now, and it doesnt seem to have done anything. Ive been using it for a good couple of months now.

The worst area is the bit under my nose, serious cats bum. Plus I now have turkey neck, all baggy and saggy. Probably need surgery for that.

I've always been a basic face wash and Oil of Olay person but since menopause I have realised I can't get away with not giving skincare any thought.
So since last summer I've been using CeraVe foaming facewash for dry skin, and Clinique dramatically different moisturising lotion ( and sometimes the gel) as a moisturiser, which is sooooo soothing!

Clnique can be expensive but you can always get it in the Outlet stores and there are often offers online.

Boots No7 future renew has made a real difference for me in only a few days.

Prai neck cream is great for wrinkles on the neck, genuinely seems to help them.

Good idea to start retinol to try to improve general skin texture and tone, also potentially help find lines though have to say it hasn't done a whole lot for me and I've been using it's stronger version tretinoin for a year. I'd suggest staring off with the ordinary granactive t retinol or Indeed Labs, both very mild.

it's going to sound nuts but sorbolene cream in the big pump bottles really helped me. Recommended by my allergist. Very cheap and used all over face and body. I'd use it in the shower instead of soap (used soap for bum and feet etc) and I'd just get wet, step out from under the shower and slather/gently rub it on. And then get back into shower and wash off the excess. Within a week my skin started to be very soft and glowy. People commented on it. I had to stop using it though, because I moved to an area with a much hotter climate and found it made me feel hotter. It's autumn here now so I'll start using it again soon.

It also helps with post menopausal itchy skin.

Just do a skin test for allergies first, but sorbolene wasn't a problem for me and I have sensitive skin to many things. I used Redkin brand but don't think it really matters what brand.

OH, keep your hair out of the way with shower cap or well tied up.

I do have quite itchy skin on my body. Im not sure if that is menopause or the supplements Im taking.

I used to take 7 seas for 50+ women and noticed every single time I took them my torso was unbearably itchy

Im now on bariatric supplements and some of the itching has come back, not quite as bad, so I cant work out whats causing it.
