Children's sunscreen

Anyone got a magic recommendation for a mineral sunscreen or one without all the bad chemicals for children (or adults for that matter) that actually spreads properly and doesn't leave them looking completely white?

I'll second the Green People suggestion. It's the only one I know of, but it definitely has a slightly more cakey texture than some of the lighter typical suncreams.

They have to add certain things other wise it is plain 'moisturiser' and not sun safe

It needs to have 'official spf'

We use this as I couldn't find a factor 50 in the green people one.
It's thick but does spread and sinks in after a little while.

You can get different ingredient sunscreen, some chemical based and other mineral based. The chemical based ones are usually big brands and cheaper (Nivea) these work by being absorbed into the skin and then absorbing uva/uvb rays and converting them to heat and being released as heat by the body. But these chemicals are actually being researched further recently due to a few of them being absorbed into the bloodstream at a higher rate than the fda approves for any topical medication. Whereas mineral based actually sits in the skin and reflects the uva/uvb rays back. These are recognised as safe by the fda. And generally contain less harmful chemicals along side.
