Is every woman dealing with this or just me? Had the implant removed two months ago and honestly feel like I'm growing a beard! Wondering if gp appointment is needed or whether I need a dermatologist or laser! I've spent £20 on tweezermans and they aren't worth it!

I have had electrolysis on mine. Just three or four sessions and I think they’ve gone. The woman I go to charges by time intervals so last time I went I only needed 5 minutes.

Oblomov23 · 12/04/2023 19:16

Electrolysis when younger. Now only electrolysis occasionally.

JaneFondue · 12/04/2023 19:24

I have a lot of hair. I dermablade.

ArcticBells · 12/04/2023 19:32

Electrolysis works for me

SnuggleBuggleBoo · 12/04/2023 19:33

I celebrated turning 30 with discovering my first chin whisker!! I pluck them now but they do get stubbly growing back. I think I have around 3 or 4 regulars? I get dermaplaning 3 or 4 times a year but that's more for peach fuzz. I get my lip waxed but I'm not prepared to let my chin whiskers grow enough for that!

Slimjimtobe · 12/04/2023 19:34

I have a lumea and am hair free

Switchwitch · 12/04/2023 19:35

I have PCOS so had them forever. I have a few dark hairs, I pluck every day and then a face full of 'peach fuzz' which if it catches the light looks horrendous so I shave it all off once a week. We can be twee and say dermablade but essentially it's a razor.

OriginalUsername2 · 12/04/2023 19:35

I dermablade but hope to get Electrolsis one day. It’s not just you it’s most ladies! I heard German ladies have a specyword for the pleasure of plucking out chin hairs.

OriginalUsername2 · 12/04/2023 19:35

*special word

Sunshineandflipflops · 12/04/2023 19:56

I am having laser removal for chin and top lip hair as it was getting ridiculous (my chin especially). I’ve had 3 sessions so far and it’s painful but already seeing the difference.

Justmuddlingalong · 12/04/2023 20:03

Mine are coming in grey.
I'd resemble Noel Edmonds if it wasn't for my trusty tweezers.

Pinktruffle · 13/04/2023 12:24

I have PCOS so suffered from this for many years. I've tried most things from plucking everyday to waxing and hair removal cream. Laser worked the best and is the only thing that has meant I havent had to do daily maintenance. I maintain with a Lumea now but only need to do it once every 4 months or so. I remove everything under the eyes. Lucky me had sideburns, moustache and chin hair woohoo

SchoolTripDrama · 13/04/2023 13:41

IPL Machine. Studio have one for £50 and it works a treat. Provided you're not either dark skinned or have grey hair

QueenAstrid · 13/04/2023 13:48

Place marking!

MelchiorsMistress · 13/04/2023 13:51

I mostly pluck but have used laser a couple of times. I think it worked on the hairs that existed then but new ones have sprouted and I don’t want to keep using laser in case it causes other skin damage and more wrinkles!

I’ve considered electrolysis but I’m not sure how it would work with random single hairs that appear. Do you have to let them all grow so that they’re ready to be zapped together in one session?

SanRaz1 · 13/04/2023 13:58

Electrolysis for me…it’s permanently got rid of the pesky irritants!

wyntersuhn · 13/04/2023 14:11

I have a facial epilator which I use about once a month. Takes about 5 minutes and the fuzz is all gone. Chin, top lip, cheeks, jaw, side burns...the lot, all gone.

humptylumtpty · 13/04/2023 14:29

oh i love tweezering the hairs while i'm driving. sitting at lights in a jam or otherwise delayed.
i line all the different coloured hairs on the steering wheel and get enormous satisfaction from seeing them!!
this is obviously a complete secret from anyone i know in real life

cocksstrideintheevening · 13/04/2023 14:31

I've got a couple of wiry bastards I tweezer out. When I'm looking particularly peach fuzzy I take a razor to it, can't see the difference between that and dermablading.

SecretCoconut · 13/04/2023 15:20

Question for the Lumea users - do you tweeze out the chin hairs first or shave them before using the Lumea?

Switchwitch · 13/04/2023 16:33

You have to shave otherwise it won't work.

Do lumea users use it on white peach fuzz? I don't think it would work on those just dark hairs?

LoveLabradors · 13/04/2023 16:59

Can you use Lumea on the face if you use tretonoin?

Desmondo2021 · 13/04/2023 17:13

Epilator my whole face every couple weeks. Literally life changing. Takes less than 5 mins.

AHugeTinyMistake · 13/04/2023 17:20

Shave the face and then Lumea the dark hair on my chin, lip and neck afterwards 🙄

It's way better than it used to be, I think probably 80%

I don't think there's a cure for peach fuzz, I used to epilate but I don't think it's any more effective than a razor.

SuperGinger · 13/04/2023 17:25

My hairs are few and far between but like white wire so I tweeze as apparently most hair removal methods are better on darker hair....
